And Dusty, I'd preferentially take out your dog than allow it to kill native wildlife as well. OTOH, kill all the nonnative feral hogs you want. They do a lot of damage to native creatures.

If you do then the snake is known as a Blue Indigo and they are a native species.

That is a very large example if it is a Blue Indigo.

I believe they're an endangered species.

They look black from a distance but when you get close they are in fact a slightly shiny blue.

i live in S.Florida,down here it's the other way around. cats ARE the main menu for the snakes.not a week goes by that 5+ are reported "missing" and later found a lumps in

pythons. we have a huge problem with pythons down here.there are breeding populations all around the everglades and they're making their way north through the canal systems(a 16 footer was recently caught)
