It is their only option, if you take a look at poverty rates in their country the country is extremely poor, most of it relies on U.S and UN aid agencies, and relied on it even before the bombing began. Aid agencies have estimated that right after the bombings began thousand of Afghans starved to death because they lost access to red cross and UN aid.
