  • Any tips? I want to take the keys out to dust them thoroughly. We have an upright which is old. Do you have any pointers or is it something best left to pros?

  • @icekat83 I personally have no tips, but my friend Michael Frassinelli, who made the video might. . . visit his YouTube page, his YouTube username is 'mikefraz" and ask him your questions. Good luck.

  • the iron frame it's too heavy?

  • @321pocoyo the frame IS HEAVY - the back of the guy in the vidoe is killing him. . .

  • When you think of all the good quality aged wood, scrap iron and brass, and ivory key tops in the average old piano, there must be some scrap value there....

  • @wks1978 not much, man. I did it on a very similar piano. couldn't have been more than ten bucks. The brass was two bucks. Iron goes for 3 cents a pound. The wood? yeah, not bad. Sorta useful, I guess. But so is plywood, which doesn't split as easily.

  • why did he do this ?

  • where do you live? can i hire you to partially dismantle my upright so I can move it to a tight spot?

  • Go to the link in the description, the creator of the QT movie might know the answer

  • is it possible to keep string tensionon the metal grill but itself

meaning, not attatched to the soundboard

  • Hey, someone just came in and stole your piano!

  • he should slow this down and actually take the time to inform us on how to dismantle an upright piano.

    loved the tune though \m/

  • wow!
