Im so scared that my baby is going to be damaged. I cant stop crying most nights. i feel anxious and i want to hurt myself. I feel like my brain isnt my own anymore and i dont know what to do :(
why dnt they teatch this as education at shcool? they should! when i was expecting i was going through hell with my partner him wanting the baby then deciding hes to young so he left, came back and left and came back went missing etc so i was always stressed. when my son was born i went through horrendous labor and was so exhausted after the 3 days when they handed him to me i couldnt even cradle him i was in shock. i found it v v hard when he was little bt never once lost control! hes an angel!

Thanks for posting this. It makes a lot of sense. As someone with Celiac Disease, I can see how this all ties in together (high stress, malnutrition due to contaminated diet, and how it affects mom/baby)... It also makes sense why something like this would run all the way to the 3rd trimester if not sorted out properly in the 1st and 2nd.
I've been wondering why I threw up so much more than everyone else I knew that has gone through a pregnancy... I threw up multiple times a day, every day, for the entire first trimester. I was experiencing stress before I became pregnant, quite intense stress. This all makes much more sense.
My grandfather used to raise minks, and there was a problem with them eating their young. Is it possible that those mothers, being cramped in cages, eat their babies because of this depression? Also, do mother rabbits and other animals sometimes eat or abuse their babies due to post partum depression?
dnt read this(cuz it really wrks). u will gt kissd on the nearest frieday by the love of ur life. 2mara wll b the bst day of ur life hwever if you dnt post ths comment 2 at least 3 vids u will die withn 2 days nw uv startd readn this dnt stp this is so scary snd ths ovr 2 5 vids in 143 mins when ur done press f6 nd ur crush's name will appear
I was very stressed during my last pregnancy, and my baby ended up having a lot of health problems while she was still inside me and after she was born.
I 'twas a hard to handle baby., I guess mom was under alot of stress.. then again I was born with kidney stones so I was in constant pain for eight months. >>
"her own lifestyle choice has helped to create" asshole!!! not all stress is created by choice. Sudden death of a parent or spouse and struggling with poverty is not a choice. Many other factors besides choice contribute to stress of a pregnant mom.
I agree with this. Not everybody inflicts stress upon themselves, and there are appropriate times for mourning. Having a baby IS a stressful event for normal people, who have to figure out how to afford a child.
Also, I feel that much of post-partum depression has to do with a complete change in lifestyle, not being able to leave the house, and constant bombardment by relatives. Imo, these social factors are equally important to the physiological factors.
Actually, we choose how to interpret and handle our experiences. Stress is always a choice. I know we are in the era of "nothing is my fault" so this is not a popular view. A great example is heavy traffic - some people stress out with it, and some people enjoy slowing down for a change - their choice!
I have actually studied stress for decades. "Stress is always a choice" refers to things like having anxiety while in traffic, getting mad at someone's behavior, nervous before a school exam, etc. That is a matter of choice, though most folks don't want to take responsibility for their behavior. If someone forces your hand into a workbench vice grip, that stress is not a choice! Thank you for the reply.
Right. No matter how stressed or depressed you are, you have a choice...get help, or hurt your little one...thats a choice some unfortunatly make. Its not excusable.
I am still looking for the college course "men's issues" - haven't found it yet. Of course, neither is there a "men's hospital" or a local "for guys only" health club! I think women would sue us for such things!!!!
the reason for that decifiency is that HIStory has all been from the perspective of men... women's focus in contemporary society is as a response to this. The mainstream is male to begin with.
lol....its all about petty revenge:) Woman were low on the class scale and even though we have are equal under the law, some feel men just dont get it and want some payback...kinda immature, I know:)
My suggestions... Find people you can talk about your problems to, find people the father can talk about his problems to, ideally including people who have been there, and keep in touch with your friends.
Nice video, so are you basically saying that the woman needs to remove herself from stressful situations during pregnancy? So that she is not putting strain on herself and by extention the baybe?
great vid, I think that with most women out working often in stressful careers, maybe there's an debate to be had about pregnant women taking earlier maternitiy leave or having certain entitlements to lessening their workload in their jobs without an adverse consequence to their careers.
Awesome video! Vastly better than some hot chick talking about pirates. Vids like this are why I subscribed to psychetruth. I'm all for the hot chick starting her own channel if it gets her off this one. Needless to say I didn't subscribe to the new channel.
If I ever marry (unlikely) I'll try to get her to be a stay at home wife during the pregnancy and at least the first year or two afterward. I'm lucky to be in a financial situation where that's possible.

Men's health clubs were closed after AIDS hit the spotlight in the early eighties.

I don't care how stressed you are, it's no excuse for murdering your children.
