Executive orders can NOT override laws passed by Congress, ON the issue of don't ask don't tell this WAS passed by congress and therefore the President can NOT override it with an executive order. I am sure he already would have if he could because he has made it very clear that he supports repealing this many times. It is in the process of being repealed and that is due to HIS efforts.

@independentview1 Compare that to Reagan's recession which was not nearly as severe yet unemployment went to 10.8 % for 2 months and stayed over 10 % for 10 months. over 9 % unemployment for 19 months. Comparing the two gives a more realistic idea of what can be expected and Obama has done an amazing job considering unemployment only stayed over 10% for 3 months despite the severity of this recession.

@barsense What's obama dealing with during his "Great Recession", inflation in the past year is 1.3% and the prime rate is 3.25 %. Reagan revived an economy with 13% inflation and a 20% prime rate. obama cries for more time with inflation at 1% and a prime rate of 3%. Reagans recession was not as severe as obamas because obamas policies are causing his recession to stay. Perhaps he should worry more about helping business and less about his political agenda.

The best and fastest way to create corporate facism is de-regulation of moneyed corporations and tax cuts for them and the elite at the expense of middle income when they are hit with backdoor and sneaky taxes to pay for top income cuts.
