I was lucky enough to see him back in 02 i think it was.He opened a show my band was also playing.And a national act.Ha!! Both us and the big act was heavy rock/metal.Noone was really into David it seemed.Metal drunk heads,i however really enjoy folk americana singers/writers.David caught my ear and it felt like to me he was performing for me.I absorbed all he was playing and have kept tabs on his new tunes since.Classy gentleman..
Saw him last night on tour with Darren Hanlon and he really is amazing.

We got him to play at our coffee shop, and I got to spend like 6 hours at a bar with him before the show. Life changing experience.

I saw dondero play this over a year ago in new Orleans. It was only two lines at that point, and it's amazing to see how it's progressed
