I have seen the old agneepath and its a very boring movie. It was only Amitabh bachchan's performance and his dialogues that made this movie special otherwise it got nothing..bad direction and bad screenplay made this movie sucks.

Everybody has said that the film is a remake of Scarface, but they are wrong. The film is said to have been inspired and based on the life of Mumbai underworld gangster and urban dacoit, Manya Surve. He was the first person to be shot dead in an encounter by the Mumbai police. The main character, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan (played by Amitabh Bachchan) was heavily based on Surve, with Bachchan even copying the gangster's voice. I am tired of people giving Bollywood a bad rap about this issue.

This movie on its own created history. This movie is one of the best movie ever made in Indian film industry. I have seen this movie around 30 times till date but never get boared . The background music in scenes when Amitabh delivers his memerzing dialogues is just too good.

When you get the chance, watch the movie again, because at the start of the credits it clearly shows that Kader Khan wrote the dialogues not Javed Akhter and he has written some great dialogues for Amitabh!!!!

Sorry bro....it's not a blatant rip off of scarface.....the backbone and the essence of the flick is defenitely Tony Montana's character....but, the desi version is altered to suit the indian taste.....I'm an avid fan of both movies....except for a few similarities in some sequences...Amitabh def gave this characters it's own identity....
