  • It's a pity we won't hear anything but V6 turbo sound in Austin. What horrible timing.

  • @DriftingInTheSky

i'd be willing to bet that the V6 turbos are going to sound amazing. previous turbocharged F1 engines have had external wastegates and exhausts that are all of 12 inches long, and the rumors are that the new V6 turbos will be making power between 11,000 and 15,000 rpm. sounds good to me!

  • Hope V8 supercar series comes out to Austin too.

  • @Lamboracer1 They've already signed.

  • @wwb3735 right after i wrote that i went to the circuits website and saw it was already done. haha

  • @Lamboracer1

Yeah - can't wait! They keep loading up the goodies :)

  • Can't wait for F1 and MotoGP to be here in Tx ! ! ! !

  • What a great spokesman for both Red Bull and F1. Never anything but smiles, even in our 100+ degree Heat.

  • V10 engine from 2005, love the sound :D

  • Dang! Great video. I cannot wait to see racing in Austin for real. What my grandmother does in her 671 blown 55 Chevy on South Congress doesn't count.

  • Looking forward to seeing the videos of him busting offroad laps around the circuit. (Saw pictures on REDBULLF1SPY and espnf1)

  • FUEL SMOKE???? HAHA go back to the hole you came out of.

  • That's me wearing a hat next to DC!!!

  • @tango4449 the smoke was from the tires (rubber). The F1 engines actually burn their fuel very efficiently, leaving no visible smoke. The only time you ever see anywhere near that much smoke from an F1 engine is if the engine has just blown and is burning the remaining oil before it dies totally. And the donuts were spectacular to see!

  • @cameltx they're not just efficient...F1 engines are the single most fuel effecient engines in the wold today.

  • @Lancer033 just to clariy....yes most cars get better mpg, but they also do much less work. If you factor in the amount of work done vs fuel burned, F1 engines are the most effecient. Le Man's prototypes are probably pretty close though.

  • I love the idea of F1 coming to Austin, and it's cool to be doing donuts in front of the capitol, but you're not going to win friends in Austin with promo videos including huge clouds of fuel smoke.

  • I'm from Kansas City, MO and I support F1's return to America, and I will definitely be there for the inaugural Austin race.

  • i can't wait to be at the USGP next year!
