fleece the Iraqi People of what is rightfully theirs), replacing one rotten apple with a cartful of rotten apples, carefully selected by the west, to run a ravaged war torn country where decent people cannot celebrate common values such as honesty, truth, etiquette in everyday living and justice. This is the sad story of Iraq and its people.
Thank you for sharing this sad and well written song. The sad situation is this; ever since the wicked, evil and cowardly assassination of General Karim Abdel Qassim, which was encouraged by Nasir and then ultimately the super powers, Iraq became a fertile ground for rightwing fascists, and self-serving lackeys and thieves encouraged by the US and Britain who initially marched into Iraq peddling their so called democracy and freedom (All Lies of course….IT’S ALL ABOUT OIL and how to
Yes of course your absolutely right not one Iraqi wants us there. And I suppose the Iraqi's that attend the Christian services on the COB that are in Arabic are just collecting Intel on us. You know I just dont understand how some people can be so removed from reality. You know for example how some people think 9/11 was "an inside job" as it says on your profile.

Clarity You are the poem, You are the song You are the prayer You are the home You are the distance You are the swings You are the brook You are the childhood And to know that I could ,if I want, replace all that chattering With one word Warm and Intimate I Love YOU written by Furat Salih from Chalk's Advise Poems Collection
Without Basra, Iraq will die next day. But its ok for those basters in green zone to spend the oil of Basra to satisfy their own desires. Yet,people of Basra can not choose their real representative people.
I was in Basra from the 10-16 of Nov,2009 , am still suffering from the pain of what I saw, I called Basra our beloved city slum with the prices of New York, No one cares about it. it is the forgotten city in all times,I tried hard to see one who represent Basra just to ask what is the problem , but I could not since he lives in the Green Zone
liters every where in the streets in a country where the Minster gets a million dollar a month and members of parliament get 40000$ a month ,
I spent 15 months in Basra. My heart goes out to those kids and people. A couple of the kids in Hyaneha (please forgive my spelling )were awesome. I wish I could have done more from them. I hope someday I could go back there maybe as a missionary. But why does the song have to single out the US? Its not a bad thing to succeed in life or to be happy. I know for a fact there are plenty of rich people in Basra living in mansions when others are homeless.
Iraqis don't want any American occupiers or missionmaries in thier country. Iraqis have their own identity, culture and religion. And need no help or pity from you!
This is a great song. Maybe someone could post the whole song? I think the pictures without the words, which are very easy to understand, would be better. These are great pictures! I assume they are all of Basra?
thanks very much its very nice song and great lyrics!
