I haven't heard from Eric since the 60's. No idea where he is. Am still in contact with members of the Soul Clinic, tho. In 1968 we used to always playmin battlenof the bands with the Enz.
Great song! your lead singer sounded just like Jim,and the music itself is fantastic! what year did this come out? I lived in Lemoyne in the 60s & 70s,and may not have heard you guys during that time.
This was a band from York Pa. I was in the band "The Soul Clinic"{shes so sharp @ youtube} and after we broke up, three of us joined the guitar and bass player from the Loose Enz to form the band " Trained Labor". We did covers of Jethro Tull with an electric flute and viola. The lead singer was Eric Gutierez he also played a mean hendrix.
@tarznjan Man, you guys were the coolest of the cool. As a Kid around 67 I used go to the Stewartstown Community Hall to watch you guys play. Could not wait to hear Light My Fire! Fantastic sound and musicianship. I remember when they used to pick bands for the venue at the time they wanted soul bands to come in. And I said you gotta get the rock band Loose Enz. Their so fantastic. What happened to the guitar player and lead singer? Does he still play? Is he still around? Anymore recordings?
You gotta wonder how many uninitiated kids thought they were listening to the Doors when this came out. =)
