Our society has been shifting since it's founding, accommodating new ideas and discarding dated notions. People always resist, but history almost always looks back on traditionalists in a negative light.

Bob McDonell would also like to see young women striped of their reproductive rights. I'd rather pay a couple extra dollars a day than be forced into pregnancy because abortion and contraceptives limited, or even criminalized. Through out the world, a woman's right to choose dictates the welfare of women in that society. Bob is a good politician, while Deeds is a good man. Who would you rather have???

You mean "does deeds have any plans?" i didn't hear one actual plan from Creigh Deeds. McDonnell wants to privatize liquor stores to provide money for transportation, save the government the costs of running those stores, and avoid a tax hike. Deeds, characteristically, doesn't have a plan on transportation. McDonnell has been instrumental in making sure terrorists don't reach VA soil while Deeds is Obama's lapdog and will let Osama himself enter the state if the president wants it that way.

How will cutting taxes make our state go bankrupt? As I recall, when there have been tax cuts all across the board, government revenue has increased,. When more money is in the hands of real people, it will be spent and invested. While the taxes may be lower, there will be a great increase in transactions, so the government in turn collects more. Maybe we can spend some of that extra dough on a crappy government health care system... Or not.

VA was reporter by forbes magazine the best place for business and raise your kid. Now you also saw Gim Gilmore run the states into the ditch; warner had to clean up after him.

Actually the state senate and house of burgesses is in Republican control. They stopped the Democrats' efforts to raise any taxes. Virginia has among the lowest taxes of any state because George Allen lowered them to the current rates when he was governor and then the Republicans in senate vetoed any attempts by democratic senators to raise the rates (trust me they have tried).
