@josephschuster As a student of physics I wholeheartedly agree with you. Personally I feel that art is the human nature. Anything and everything that we get our hands on we make into art, science especially. It is depressing to see people trying to deny this for some reason.

As a musician and studying physicist I often feel a lot of parallels between these parts of my life, and I wouldn't want it any other way. Its all about working with out world.

Even though the idea is certainly fancy, and meaningful, it cannot be tested, and fails as a scientific theory. I am pretty sure that some person out the could have wiped out poverty by wishing it, but we still don't see it.

Actually quantum refers to a quanta, as it was called near the turn of the century, the smallest increment of energy. Now we know it as photons. Basically light is in discrete particles called quanta or photons, while at the same time having a wave and particle duality.
