Always listening to Jakob when having a post-rock / prog time. Such an awesome band. Such an awesome genre. Such a good thing may name's not longer related to some random teen series anymore. :D
Who would have knowing that this amazing band is from New Zealand in a place called Hawkes Bay.... I love these guys... hopefully get to see them soon!!!
i dont beleive in God but i do beleive there is some thing moving the univers so when stars can be feel trough music its that superior being that move his hand so he can show us what's life is all about :)
this is a great song my favorit.....i want this played at my funeral......hhahaha this is truly art you cant beat this...hiphop and rap just poison the music socity
The spaciousness beginning at 4:44 is almost religious.
It brings such a peaceful stance that even raises awareness, like being able to think clearer and with a more loveable attitude towards all, through the vibrations of the song.
Dont want to sound like a moron, but this is how i feel this.
Exactly prophet. This is such a beautiful peaceful and melancholic song. There is enough negativity in the world, lets rejoice in the divine feelings bands like Jakob and God is an astronaut bring.
@prophet4thespaceage -- WoW -- Right Quite! Remarkable wonderfulness. I began listening to what is now loosely labeled post-rock back in the early 80s. I discovered a depth and beauty in music that literally saved my life. Building on the work of pioneers like Soft Machine, T-Dream, Brian Eno, Pink Floyd, Mark Isham, Richard Burmer -- and scores of others, the music transcends boundaries as it liberates imagination. Jacob is a recently-found treasure.
Jakob is of a great breed of artists that seem to take a mood, distill it, and bottle it. This song is the perfect ending-credits for a deep&dark epic of a film. It is almost as if it underlines the quote from Blade Runner:
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like... tears... in the rain... ..."
this song is a little... fucking great!

Everyone, if you like this then go and listen to a song called 'White's Dream' by Plaid. You will not be disappointed.

When I read all these comments, my faith in humanity is very slightly bumped up.
Not everyone is brain dead, attention deficit, or just plain petty.
I love you all.

This brings to mind the open night sky in Ghana. In a place so torn and sad and painful, one can still find peace when you look up at night.

This stirs such deep emotions and Moves me to tears nearly every time I listen to it.
Let not a man glory in this'that he loves his country'let him rather glory in this'that he loves his kind.
