hahahha , shows how little you know about Tennis! when did federer ever serve and volley at wimbledon! haha wimbledon has been slowing down since the 90's and even when sampras won in 2000 was getting slow. Then it slowed down further until hewitt won in 2002 by proably coming to the net twice in the tournement, since then it been pretty consistent. Rafa nadal just outplayed and out battled him last year.

er,actually that match if you've actually watched it serve and volleying wise was merely average, and with sampras he was always going to serve and volley as it was his natural game. Watch that match and the sampras and wimbledon in the 90's and see the difference then. Anyway thats beside the point. Whats that got to do with your argument. I said a massive change came in 2002 when hewitt won it from the baseline. If you think federer won five wimbeldon's by serve and volleying then thats a joke

yah i have it on my comp, pretty good mix of serve and volley and some baseline play. but ya, in the 90's it was pretty much purely serve and volley. anything after 2002 is pretty much just baseline play, too bad really, theyve got almost no grass left on tourand the grass they have isnt really traditional grass, otherwise roddick, fed and karlovic would probly dominate there, and i think nadal would have quite a bit of trouble making it past the quarters.
