the next total solar eclipse will happen on July 11th of this year near S. Pacific Ocean, southern tip of South America. There will be a total solar eclipse in N. America on August 21st 2017 that will be able to be seen from oregon to south carolina.
No, the 2nd contact was done manually. The increasing of the brightness was done manually. The 3rd contact was in auto mode, thus a little bit to bright.
that is awesome. i would love to see a total solar eclipse. i don't think there would ever be one in North America though. i have seen a total lunar eclipse before. just last year. the moon turns red during that.
there is one compleate solar eclipse in North America every 250 years (or so) last one was in 1876 so the next one will be around 2024...which means you may get to see it...
Sorry that I have to disappoint you. A lunar eclipse is something completely different! Use google and read about the differents.... A lunar eclipse is also nice, but I personally think NOTHING can keep up with a TOTAL solar eclipse!
At a lunar eclipse you will seen the full moon going through all the phases you normally see during one month in only one hour ore so...
And finally, when the moon is totally in the earth's shadow you will see a reddish moon (as long as you're not in a big city with a lot light pollution!) - Enjoy it!
seems you have seen at least one by yourself? That's true, the effect it has on people is really very special! Even when you don't know nothing about the sky and the solar system it's something that touches you deep in your body... the friend of mine, which travelled with me to Turkey (it was his first one) had tears in his eyes and marked with a slow, impressed voice, that now he understand why there are eclips cheaser ;-)
Terrific so very special. I was on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1992. And that one was covered by clouds,so many people arrived, and left disappointed.
I would advice you, IF POSSIBLE, to plan one of your next big holiday trip to a location within the path of a nice total solar eclipse ;-) Maybe 2009 Shanghai China?! Btw. there it will last for almost 6 long minutes!! The logest totality in my lifetime and I'm only 25 ;-)
Nice, that you have seen one in your life! I think more people should see a solar eclipse in their life. It's such an impressing natural wonder! - Btw. for the one you saw, i travelled to Germany but got there only clouds and rain....
Schön, dass Dir das Video gefällt. Naja, der Text mag schon traurig sein, ich habe jedoch bloss auf die Melodie geachtet und finde deshalb, dass dieses Lied schon passt....

Well captured, perfect I like especially the "up-flashing" of the corona at the 2nd contact, was this filmed with auto, I think so?!

Yes, the weather- It's hard, especially when you have planned a big photo and video program! I have been on three total solar eclipses.
First 1999 Germany (big program)- clouds and rain!!
Then 2001 Sambia Africa (small program9 - perfect sky
Now 2006 Turky (big program) - good sky! :-)
