I have a problem. I just received the ballhead x and the gorillapod brand new. And the part at 5:43 doesnt happen for me. It just continues to spin and spin. I think this is a problem with the gorillapod mount screw?
Man, you made a right meal of attaching the ball head. Why didn't you screw the ball head onto the tripod *first*, then attach the plate to the camera, and snap it into the ball head?
Wow, that thing is relatively big. I was interested in one for travelling but my just go with the SLR Zoom version. Good review, but lose the intro or drastically shorten it. Thanks, Mate.
@McIvor67 I'm not thumbing it down because of that but that intro was a bit much. I never watch intros unless they're quick and fresh. Thumbs up for the review.
Stupid iPod touch... Meant "is it compatible..." in other more clear words, can I use this tripod head with an induro tripod? I'm planning on getting a new tripod soon, but don't wanna bust the bank on the head. My current tripod was my dad who's dad used it before him. (old, totally metal, but weights easily 15 to 20 lbs...)
Hi Dave,Yeh i saw an add for this a few week's ago and thought oh yeh i want one of those I dod not realise it was that big,as i haven't got a DSLR myself, maybe look for something a little smaller,That one you have their look's like it's built to last,I did have a very small gorillapod a while back but gave it away,I love the chrome part's on the ball joint's,I think it make's it look the part as well as the flat base to it so you can add attatchment's,thank's for the video m8y :)
Nice video Dave. Just a small point. Could you maybe lower the volume on the music track at the intro. I have having to constantly lower the volume when clicking on your video
Thankyou for the review of the gorillapod / Ballhead, Dave.
I can see it usefulness shooting wildlife in the bush or perhaps even birding photography.
Would you be expanding into more photography items / lens / ipad as photographers tool etc..at all ?
This would be welcoming for some of us new DSLR users (picked up an A33 the other day, and thankyou for the A55 reviews, b.t.w. Its in auto+ mode while I acquire more knowledge)
Nice vid. I'm looking for something like this for an iPhone 4 but one that gives a birds eye view so I can start doing unboxing etc on YouTube is there anything out there that can do that?

Hey dave, is there like a bigger one and a smaller one? I am just wondering as I might look at these tripods

@TechnomTigerGeek There are smaller ones than this, but I think this is the biggest.

Anyway, I meant to ask if I could use the joby bh2-01en x ball head with a normal sized aluminum tripod, like the induro at014 8m?
Chefsglen 1 year ago
@Chefsglen That should work fine if it is standard threads.

Is it comparable with a normal tripod? Like induro 8m 014 aluminum?
Chefsglen 1 year ago
@Chefsglen The sturdiness is comparable, but not as good as a full tripod.
