I always was very unimpressed by this intro as a kid. Doesn't show an image of any of the actors or even give all of their names. One of a handful of intros that made me turn the channel everytime.
One of my favorite shows when I was a kid,my favorite episode was when they were having a christmas party for one of buffy's friend in july or something because the little girl was dying, the last scene is in buffy's room where she's crying because she figured out why they had that x-mas party so early.
Mr. French was my favorite because his beard was like mine. I wonder what brand shoe polish he used on his beard (I wish he was here so I could ask him). I wrote several letters to him but the letters arrived too late. I myself was a butler so I know the pains he must have encountered living with a family like that.
In 1969 I landed my helicopter at a remote base near the Viet Nam/Cambodian border and walked over to the "bar" to get a coke. Inside, after my eyes adjusted to the light I noticed a guy with a beard sitting at a table. I thought my God it's Mr. French. I asked him what the hell are you doing here? He was on a USO tour and they had landed to refuel. Nice guy.
This show was one of my favorites growing up as a child. I can't believe that Anissa Jones, Brian Keith, and Sabastian Cabot are no longer with us. Anissa's death really hurt me alot. Thanks for posting this.
strange that by '71 the escapism and optimism of getting over WW2(still relevant though 20 years since it ended) that was portrayed on television in the 60s was already fading. The light comedies or adventures were a kind of tonic to ease the end of the day. Too bad it was already disappearing by the 70s with more reality styled shows such as the plethora of cop or detective shows prevalent throughout the 70s and early 80s.
Where can I find episodes for this on youtube?

@HippieNiecey Miss Jones passed away 35 years ago around this time. When I heard this, I thought I was going to go into atrial fibrillation.

I remember this show. I really liked the opening music and the way it had that kelidescope effect. Thanks for posting!
