welcome to photography. they make lenses very high quality so they last for the next 4 cameras you buy, the idea is you spent $1200 (so about 600 pounds) on the lens so when it comes time to replace your camera you have to buy that brand of camera again.
Hi Kieran - Your videos are great and keep me motivated to continue saving so I can upgrade from my Canon Powershot S3 IS to the 400D. I like to photograph sport, in particular cricket. What lens would you recommend for this? I would like to achieve a similar amount of zoom that I currently get on my S3 which is x 12 optical. Thanks!
at first i am 14 years and from germany, photografie is one of my biggest hobby, i had buy a olympus e300, now i had see all your videos and i musst say, i want to have this camera i know its one of the best cameras what i ever have seen... i hope on one day i can have a canon hold in my hands..
hey kieran these videos were really nice you are a very good photographer i hope to do some stuff like you do one day. I am also hoping to get the canon rebel XTI it looks like a great camera thanks again.
Hello Davio. No battery grip was used in the Welcome to the Playground movies. We used a EOS 400D starter kit plus extra lenses and accessories, like a MR-14EX Macro Ring Lite.
thanks a lot for the reply.great videos.really looking forward for the next episodes to learn even more about this great camera.thanks again.great work. :)

Why, on the tags is the Canon 30D on there? I thought he was testing the 400D...?

I Think at 1:07 he was using the 28/300 not easy to tell. I have a 5D and with the 28/300 Ultrasonic gives some good close up action shots

It was the 70-200 f/4 with IS or not, I'm not sure. The 100-400 has the focus window behind the the two zoom rings. The one he has is in the middle.

Which objective could you recommend for the EOS 400 D?

The 17-85mm which you can get with the kit is a great all round lens and well worth the extra money if you can afford it.
Its miles better than the cheaper 18-55 one bundled with the kit.
If you notice at bottom corner of still shots those lenses hes using are very expensive.
The canon better lenses cost more than the camera easily.

ok every lense&objective costs more then the camera itself!

well it is better to have a cheap camera and good lens's than an expensive camera and shity lens's.
not saying the 400d is shity or anything.
