this is going to be taken the wrong way but Shanda was experimenting. Even amanda on dr phil stated that Shanda instigated it. but since I read and live in california, i have the 2 books, seen dr phil, and have a friend who lives in indiana.

the other girls were afraid they would be dead if they tried to stop it.

i dont think we can get any facts straight, because the 2 books say one thing and the DR PHIL 2 part episode says something different-shandas mother also blames amanda for this, even though I think the experimenting was consentual, unless Amanda said differently. that came out sounding wrong

It is almost two decades now since this horrific and grisly atrocity took place. Whether it is reading a book about what took place on that fateful evening, watching a documentary concerning the case or a tribute video such as this, I simply cannot get through it without crying. To me this is the most heartbreaking murder story ever. She was an innocent 12 year old girl. And she was tortured and murdered in the most horrible way a person can. She did NOT deserve to die. And the fact that 2 of her killers are free just makes it even worse. But Shanda is in heaven at peace. And one day those evil bitches who took her from this world will truly pay for what they did to her. Until then Shanda will forever remain in the arms of the angels.

shanda and amanda were never dating. they were just friends. melinda thought they were dating and that's why she became very jealous. this is what disturbs me the most. shanda did nothing wrong at all. she didn't deserve what happened to her. nobody deserves that at all. I hope all four of those girls burn in hell for what they did to that poor innocent little girl.

She was such a beautiful little girl with a very promising future ahead of her. She absolutely did not deserve what those girls did to her! And I shudder to think that two of them are free to walk the streets now! I love the first picture of her-she looked like such a sweet girl. RIP sweetie. <3

@shawnpry I read bits & pieces of the story, my understanding was Shanda was not lesbian, she was friends with one, Amanda, she was obsessed with Shanda & Melinda was obsesses with Amanda & thats why Shanda was murdered, basically if Amanda had kept her ass away from Shanda, Shanda would still be alive.
