  • For Bobby

  • is that jeff sterling at 1:11 ?

  • For Bobby.

  • Superb advert, shame the players don't give a toss about it

  • I stopped watching once I realized he's some Povertyball coach.

  • Just a shame our current load of English players don't care, DROP ROONEY FOR GOOD

  • @the1booth How could you single out Rooney and have a go at him? the whole team did total shit..

  • @TheGuyThatSpysOnYou yeah but was the one that was over hyped as the one that would win the world cup for us, that he is some sort of world class player (which he is not these like 20 players better than him) England have to change the way they play for Rooney which is not good

  • @the1booth What about Lampard and Gerrard? the players that are supposed to assist Rooney and make the opportunities fir him.. what exactly did they do? I'm sorry but if you just go blaming rooney then your a bit simple minded.. not one England player turned up to that tournament!

  • @TheGuyThatSpysOnYou But only one player was meant to be the golden boy who would save us and win it for as, face it Rooney is overrated

  • @the1booth ohh another Rooney critic, herd plenty of you lot before... Rooney is not overrated, when he's on his game he's the best in the premier and the best in the world next to Messi and Ronaldo, and maybe Xavi and Iniesta... His physical strength helps him to push his way around, and score his world class goals, and you have to remember how many assists he gets a season.. greatest British player since George Best.

  • @TheGuyThatSpysOnYou George best, British, pick one, oh look a Utd bandwagoner who think he understands football from his armchair, Rooney is not even in the same league as Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi or Iniesta, Rooney is overrated

George best was shit by the way

  • @the1booth I do understand football, from my season ticket seat in the stretford end actually.. And he may not be, thats why i said apart from messi, Ronaldo, xavi and iniesta.. Im sorry but if you think George Best

was shit then you dont know a single thing about football.. and i dont care what you say about that.. your obviously just anti-united

  • @TheGuyThatSpysOnYou Season ticket holder lol good one, do you have a 4 hour trip to get to the ground, or are you part of the 10 million that was all born within the ground there are so many better players than Rooney, Rooney is just overrated by Utd fans and the media

  • @the1booth No, if you look on my account im from manchester.. salford actually so i have more right to be a united fan than most and yes i am a season ticket holder, Top the bottom teir, right side of the stretford end.... and say what you want, but rooney is englands best player!

  • @TheGuyThatSpysOnYou And? still a bandwagoner, Rooney is not England best player that is Hart

  • Shiver me timbers!!!

  • Gives me goosebumps everytime i watch this

  • For Bobby !!

  • scott parker can lead them to victory. hes a proper hero

  • fucking epic

  • that image at the top of them steps ... goosebumps.

  • Everyones favorite part of this video is the same.......

  • the only thing that could improve this video is Heskey

  • carlsberg.............danish

  • i get goosebumps every time i watch this

  • for bobby... shivers.

  • steve davies had a big part 0:44 lmao

  • steve davies had a big part 0:46 lmao

  • awesoe adverty but they should have had winstons churchill speech somewhere..... or at least mention him

  • 1:09 Jeff Stelling you absolute lad.

  • Harry Redknapp as manager (only a true native can lead their country to World Cup Glory), with this 23 man squad for Brazil:

Hart, Gibbs, Glen Johnson, Smalling, Cahill, Young, Rodwell, Wilshere, Milner, Walcott, Rooney, Robinson, Foster, Shawcross, Adam Johnson, Agbonlahor, Huddlestone, Campbell, Bertrand, Mancienne, Micah Richards, Moses, Taylor.

  • @TaffTalk Why Harry Redknapp? His whole fucking career has been spent signing players. Everyone knows he's a wheeler-dealer. He's an over-rated manager who has spent wildly at every club he's been at. Also every single one of those players have been over-hyped beyond belief. We don't compare to Germany, Brasil, Argentina, Spain or Holland. And we will never challenge on the world stage unless we completely refresh the whole youth production system.

  • @cefballer101 Because Redknapp is the only decent manager insane enough to jeopardise his entire career to take the job. Speaking as a Welshman who absolutely loves the fact England fail year after year after year, following all the hype, I can say England have a squad more than capable of shooting down the likes of sub-parr Brazil and the no-defence Argentina. It's the England needs to bring in the new faces (like Germany did in S. Africa), ban all distractions and focus on doing it for Blighty

  • @TaffTalk so you wouldn't take Phil Jones?

  • See withouth West ham united England would be NOTHING

    Lampard,Ferdinand,Terry,Joe Cole,Defoe,Carrick,Green,Upson,Parker,Glen Jhonson

all related to west ham come from academy or play currently for west ham

And ofcourse Moore,Hurst,Peters No west ham No world cup for England

so you all should respect west ham !

  • @sarmiento4444

I'm not a hammers fan but I still don't know how that west ham side (circa 2001?) got relegated: James, Johnson, Repka, Winterburn, Minto, sinclair, moncur, Joe Cole, Carrick, Di Canio, Kanoute, Defoe, etc. There's enough quality there to be pushing for top four back then. What the fuck went wrong that season???

Also, how come that mid-nineties production line of future england players (as you mention above) dried up? Have they stopped investing in the academy or something?

  • @MrHokeykokey

Yea mate no one knows what the fuck happened on 2003(when we got relegated with a record of 40+ points) We have the exact same side that finish top 7 the year before we got relegated its bizarre we are pushing for top 6 but got relegated instead ! typical west ham

We still got quite a good academy but not as good as before we have fallen behind Liverpool and Arsenal in the last 5 years when it comes to good academy players

  • @sarmiento4444

Yeah, it's a shame. I've always admired West Ham's attitude of trying to play proper football (West ham era Di Canio was one of my all time favourite players) and at the same time producing technically gifted young english players through their academy system. For this reason I'm disappointed they chose that donkey shepherd Allardyce as manager. I understand the logic: You can't play pretty football in the championship, you need to battle your way to promotion, but still...

  • the bit where they say for bobby makes my spine shiver

  • Does anyone else think that the ad creatives who came up with this gem might perhaps have been using cocaine?

'Then we'll have Ranulph Fiennes... Then Ian Bothan dressed as a knight... Then we're going to have Bobby Moore... WITH FUCKING ASLAN...'

  • Being Englishmen makes us the envy of the world.

  • Best advert ever. Really inspiring.

  • if parker had been captian maybe the team would have been worth of the immortals

  • 1:15 it's tubes from soccer AM, England FTW

  • I watched this just before the World Cup last year and it got me pumped up. Now,just over a year since our humiliation it STILL gets me going. Shame the players didn't watch it.

  • England have the best hype, ads and expectations..but are one of the shittest teams really.

  • @SITHsubz93 Hardly one of the shittest teams when we are rated 6th in the world and have the best league in the world. Think about what you're saying...

  • @YidArmy95 Obv shit is an over statement but you get the idea, compared to Spain, Germany and Holland we are shit.

  • @SITHsubz93 We have a good team but we have too much pressure with the premier league and we don't ever have the manager to suit.

  • This advert nearly has me in tears because of nothing but patriotism, do it for bobby is brilliant it took a simple advert to put fire back in the country's heart and an Italian took it away. Would have loved to see a few more faces.

    Gazza

    Becks

    Flintoff

    Our Enry

    That falklands bloke

And of course the core of everything English mr Winston Churchill (like how they did bobby Moore)

    Fucking beautiful

  • @themaingeezer Maybe they can for Euro 2012

  • Like how Phil Taylor's dart pierces Maradona's hand of God. Subtle.

  • Everything about that this video is great! It makes proud to be an Englishman, it's stirring and the 'Bobby' part hits a chord, then when you see Bobby Moore and the lion..it makes you feel like you're about to get the chance to 'join the immortals' yourself.....then when reality sets in, and you're swiftly brought back to the spineless, worthless, money-grabbing, disloyal sacks of shit that we have today that choose if they want to represent their country or not........that's why I watch rugby,

  • For Bobby ... it gets me every time :'(

  • Jeff Stelling you magnificent bastard.

  • 1:13 tubes and rocket from soccer am??

  • I don't think the England team saw this ad in 2010. If they did we would have won in South Africa.

  • fucking goosebumps, everytime. every second makes me proud to be english.

  • For Bobby...

  • makes u fuckin pround to be english !

  • Im Irish but i love this ad the part with robson and moore is fantastic

  • The bit where it says 'for Bobby' and goes silent gives me goosebumps every time!

  • Sickening that the England team couldn't even do Sir Bobby proud.

  • Literally goosebumps every time

  • The Bobby Robson part makes it<3

  • Thumbs up if this makes chills run down your spine and makes you proud to be English!

  • @Duty281Returns well it did until we actually started playing football... Worst world cup I have ever seen the only good thing about it was this advert.

  • @Duty281Returns It does but then you realise you have a stinker of a national team with absolutely no English qualities and you cringe instead.

  • @Duty281Returns no.. it makes me proud to be danish.. the maker of carlsberg...

  • @ZiiX845 Yes... And? I'm pretty sure this advert is for England only :)

  • @ZiiX845

Who are saluting England - are your speakers broken?

  • @ZiiX845 ur a tard

  • Men of England...... Its time to join the immortals. Thats the greatest line ever said in any advert

  • Best advert ever

  • For Bobby..............R.I.P

  • What a fucking grate talk beautifully

  • That advert would be enough to make me play out of my skin for my country, pity it never had that effect on the England team. Shame.........

  • watching this again makes me sad. first time i watched i was pumped up for the tournament to start. the manager who could do no wrong, the team who qualified without a loss, the players reaching their peak and pinnacle of their carreer, what could possibly go wrong?

this gives the total opposite feeling it did the first time i watched it (sigh)

  • Wait.. is that the countdown bloke at 1:11?

  • @harrisontan that is jeff stelling.. a legend in punditry of football. yes he does countdown but i find it outrageous thats how you recognize him.. amateur.

  • @harrisontan thats the soccer saturday bloke you mean! with countdown on the side

  • Wonderful video: surprised it's only no 16 in the year's top 20 adverts. The best bit has to be Jeff Stelling showing his belly with pride! Pity the team let all the legends down in South Africa though.

  • This advert in my opinion wasnt all that... but fuck me, 2 parts in this advert really took me by the scruff of the neck and got my full attention -

    1. Do it for bobby (the silence)

    2. Moore at the end with the lion (sends shivers down my spine -Immortals)

If only our big headed cunt of a national football team gave a fuck about their fans and country men

  • @haznain786

Yep those bits are just genius. Just insanely inspiring. Best. Team-talk. Ever.

  • sombody didnt show the england team this :S

  • if this advert couldn't inspire those overpaid arsewipes i don't know what will.

  • @WhiteLionV1 You got it bang on mate.

  • just jizzed my pants im so pumped...

  • For Bobby.....R.I.P.

  • I like how Bobby Moore was shown up by Aslan :]

  • Lolz at Jeff Stelling.

  • i loved the way they put Sir Bobby Moore and the lion at the end...makes me proud to be an englishmen...i'm asian btw

  • Men of England! It's time to join the immortals...

  • Saw some programme at end of last year where they ran down the best 20 ads of 2010. They actually had one of the bloody go compare ads rated above this. And there people lies the problem with this country lol.

  • Best advert ever!!!! goosebumps all over!!! makes you proud to be english!!!!

  • Using the late, great Sir Bobby to shift "product" left a bad taste in the mouth... even worse than the taste of that substandard fizzy pop Carlsberg.

  • 1:18 gives me goosebumps

  • some waste of time and money...

  • it is the greatest advert in the world

  • Makes you proud to be English!

  • makes you proud to be English!
