  • What a exciting sight to see. A Ocean Liner being built from the keel plates up. Scrapping is sad, & unacceptable. Ocean Liners are not to be recycle.

  • Great footage a real shame that "the old reliable" was scrapped. She should have been preserved, there are no ships like her anymore., Oh and btw I also like the music. Whats is this song called?

  • i have posted a new video o this with 480 pixels

  • Humbling to see them build such a magnificent ship with just iron and sweat.

  • Thank you for this

  • Great footage dude, one of the best I have seen. Well done :)

  • Dude, fantastic video, one of the best I have seen. Well done :)

  • If there's a film about Olympic, it ougtha be about the life and career of the ship.

  • i don't like google

  • Ocean Liners like Olympic ARE NOT something to be recycle. They should be either perserve or sunk. I wish those Itachis as I like to call the unforgiveable scrap merchants would just leave them alone..

  • well i have looked up all i could find off the RMS Olympic and i never found a video, i only found pictures

  • @captainofthetitanic you wont find it on google or so....ive got my videos for years in my collection

  • so how did u find this?

  • wait wait wait! is this real footage of the RMS Olympic?

  • why do you ask? no it put it on fake ! of course

  • Olympic was painted white so cameras would get good pictures of her as she was launched this is olympic

  • what is the name of that melody???

  • Qustion this video really made in 1909-1912. at the olympic or titanic or britannic.

  • its definitetly not titanic because her hull was black when launched. Olympic and britannic were both grey so it could be either of them. Olympic was a big deal when she was launched so i would guess its her but maybe not.

  • Being the first of three 'Olympic Class' superliners, RMS Olympic received all the news in 1911. The only reason Titanic made more headlines was because of her tragic ending.

  • Yeah, I guess that makes sense, no one really needed all that duplicate footage.

  • What I find amazing is how, long before the advent of computers, CAD programs, and modern machinery, how they designed, engineered and actually assembled something on this grand a scale in the first place. Also, all those guys hammering on steel plates all day, workzone safety hardly existed, can you image things like the hearing loss, etc. all these guys suffered over the long term? I agree with firestar124, where is all the Titanic footage? Nice vid!

  • Where do you get this stuff?

  • Sorry tomcatf for my late responce.

Ive got a collection with vhs tapes and dvds from over the world with these recordings. Thats why the bbc wanted my stuff also.

  • its ok thats really cool

  • RIP Olympic, to say the least, we all miss you.

I'd give anything to just see her.

  • they should of never scrapped the olympic she would of have made one amazing tourist destination imagine going to visit the sister ship of the most famous ship in history :'-( we gotta take good care of nomadic from falling to the scrapyards!!!!

  • ooooooooh, neat.

  • Wow. Keep this kinda stuff coming. But, If they have this footage of Just Olympic, They MUST have some of Titanic considering how much of a marvel she was. I am going to Find those lost clips.

  • Wow, geweldig materiaal!

  • I have never seen any of this footage. I don't know where you find this stuff, but keep it coming. This is awesome!!

  • WOW.... I am speechless

This is so rare, I keep wondering where you get all the footage you have.
