Maybe because what you see in the air is not the counter UAV but just a normal UAV. The counter UAV could be on the other side of the map. So if you shoot the counter UAV down you would still see the plane in the air.

So the story FBIRyan tells could be true...... Don't say it is but it's possible.

1) Get to level 30

2) Buy Strella-3

3) Equip Strella-3 in one of your classes

4) Aim at aircraft

5) Wait 3 seconds

6) Use shoot button

7) Enjoy being able to see again!

This also works on other aircrafts too! Except SR71
