@cooliocarla1 Actually when filming the movie they had strict rules they had to follow. If you look closely at the scene where Milo falls from the cliff actually it's just a backdrop. Also they used over 30 cats and dogs for the parts of Milo and Otis cus they can't use the same ones for such a long period of time. There was no cruelty at all in this movie.

Me and my friend were watching this movie for fun then we saw this. We put the A-B repeat on it and laughed for an hour. If you look right at the start it looks like he has already ran over one puppy. lol
omg i still remember this scene.. i wonder why they didn't do another take of it where the dog didn't run over the puppy.
although this movie has lots of flaws..whether because of when it was made or maybe the Japanese's film making skills were poorer in quality compared to other countries like the US...i mean there was animal abuse, and in many scenes you could clearly tell that the animal actor was different than the one in the previous scene..specially with Milo. still a great film tho.
this movie is so violent milo teleports off the cliff (someone threw him) so now. whenever someone randomly teleports, my friend and i say "pulling a milo"

I guess, now I know why the urban myth that most of the cats and dogs where killed during the filming of the movie. I have never said that dogs and cats where killed, but there are rumors about it.

I watched this movie with a few friends the other day just for the sake of reliving our childhoods...
