My hair reverts really quickly, but lately by using the aveda en asia straight it stays nice and flat for a couple of days. I also started a new hair regimen so maybe that's a reason as well.
First when my hair was still wet I put on Aveda anti-humectant smoothing cream, then after I did the aluminum foil ironing, i put on asia straight oil by gliss kur, for further flat ironing.
THAT DOES NOT WORK SORRY

What setting is your iron on?

@nostalgiajones It's set at 140 degrees celcius for the aluminum foil, later i set it higher for the finishing touches

It didn't have any extra damage, no. I have a lot of split ends, but I had those months/years before I even started flatironing.
