However he is just one man, and one man cannot hope to fight 6 of his equals at the same time and live; especially if it was a well planned attack.

i like chief as much as the next halo fan but you gotta admit for a group destined to fall, Noble team went out in style (especially Emile and 6... they were badass)

@ironsaber2 this might piss you off but bungie DID NOT do a half ass job working on reach and in my opinion it's the best halo to date. and until halo 4 comes out that wont change for me. you can't deny the reach is the sum of the best of what all the other halo titles have to offer and i like the story just as much as i like chief's story (it doesn't matter if it "never happened" it's more fucking halo) but honestly it's and fps, and the stories not what we play for is it?

@gijokef Halo Reach is the WORST of all Halo's the multiplayer pretty much fails and the campaign had nothing to do with the Halo universe and it was the worst of all campaigns so far Halo CE had the best Campaign Halo 3 had the best multiplayer and Halo 2 had the 2nd best multiplayer (halo ce didnt have online) and 2nd best campaign, hell even ODST which was just a side game to play halo thru another perspective was more enjoyable than reach

Obviously master chief won. He's survived three games do far. And there's another trilogy on the way. He COULD die in the 6th game, so that's 5 guaranteed victorious campaigns. Or at least campaigns survived. And the entirety of Noble Team(except maybe Jun) died in the Fall of Reach. Which is some weak sauce. But Bungie did say that the canon Noble Six is among the best if all the Spartans spanning both official generations. And it had also been confirmed that Master Chief is NOT the best Spart

Master Chief was at the battle of Reach too, and it still fell, so that argument is not valid at all. The chief was better yes, through combat experience and a lot more training. However he is just one man, and one man cannot hope to fight 6 of his equals at the same time and live; especially if it was a well planned attack.
