@redhidus the only things I know of is that the new one has around double the pressure sensitivity, rear mounted slid strips and more express keys.

@miniteichman Bamboo is a toy. If you can't afford a Cintiq, try the Intuos4. I absolutely love mine. Avoid the small version though, because it lacks a lot of the features the other sizes have. (led display of the hot keys, for one)

Man I would kill for this. I can draw on paper, but I use the mouse with my other hand, and even then the mouse is horrible for drawing! I would love this damn thing

Ermm just a spoiler to all you gadget-fans out there:

It's not like, you can create the most amazing artworks instantaneously with wanting, getting and then using the Cintiq 21UX (or any digital drawing tablet for that matter).

Wanting is not always the same as reality. Some people have talent, some can learn to become good, some just suck at it. But all of them want the gadgets :P

Be careful with buying things alright? It's not cheap stuff.

Well, they have pretty much the same features, so I would say that the larger one is better. It is a larger canvas, but if you want portable go with the 12ux, it's cheeper too. You will always need a computer to connect to though.

My guess is that its Maya software from Autodesk. New version is $6500 us dollars for 1 licence. You can make any movie effects or animation characters with it. If your interested, i can help you crack it for a lot less $ (mac or windows)
