I'm Uruguayan born and for years live in Canada and for what I see, most people here and in the States have no clue as to how awesome South America is. The problem lies with the media and the piss-poor job they do when they try to portray the continent, especially in the news. It will take a few more decades for people here to learn about these countries, their rich culture and amazing way of life.
