@captainluke100 Southwest of BR take W Jefferson (Morley exit) to Newcosta Rd and head South. Newcosta crosses the little Muskeegon several miles down but these holes are quite a ways downstream. Tubers come by regularly but I'm not sure where they drop off and put in at. Theres good holes at every turn!
Haha! Beaver Bob can fish too LOL! I know a couple rivers in the U.P. that have smallies like those and even bigger.....just an off road honey hole. 5 stars!
I remember, many years ago, when we used to get those "mullets" by the crate. Never knew what they were, back then, other than fish, and they were good canned.
Too bad it was you instead of me. Great comment, I agree. You know what we need now, is an introduction to the regulars in your series. Really enjoy these personal views.
Thats a great Idea. I tried smoked sucker once....it was ok but not my thing.....I couldn't get my mind off the boney fish with the big lips. The other guy in the vid was Mike, a friend of the family and quite the outdoorsman

My Grama's cabin is on the muskegon - the only fish I've caught out of there is a pike... So yes: "There's pike in there" ;)

That looks like your dad gain. If you haven't heard it before, you are one lucky man!
Your father has done the job that is absolutely necessary, to raise a child in an absolute fantastic tradition.
If we had ten more men like him, we would change the world for the better!
Thank you for sharing your cherished memories!
