Thing is the moral of this movie is not really focused on the lesbian part. All the smart people know what I'm talking about. I think I was 21 or so when I first saw this on SBS. At the time I could relate to a few of the feelings potrayed and I'm not even gay. Like others had already said. It doesn't really matter what your orientation is. This movie though IMO was a very well made film.
