Bloody Gir is most likely because that same guy who wrote Johnny the Homicidal Maniac wrote Invader Zim . . . so if there are sick and twisted dark themes that's why. That and Invader Zim isn't actually for kids, it's for teens and young adults.

In some episodes Zim has 2 fingers (+ a thumb) and in others he has 3 (+ a thumb), I don't know if they changed it from 2 to 3 or from 3 to 2 somewhere in the series, but it changes o-o. I think he looks better and more alien with only 2 fingers.
