  • @112sangwoo112 Were are you getting that logic from? They are not even close to being endangered.

  • @seahawkboy44 yeah sorry, was meant to delete that comment. Looked up that it is the Southern Bluefin that is endangered

  • super cow

  • That lady talking in the background should keep her mouth shut n her 5 cent inputs to herself..

  • That looks like work, not fun.

  • Wow that is a huge fish. Not gonna lie though, I was expecting more of a masculine background song instead of a gay club mix but the video was still great.

  • shhhhhhhh STOPED !!!!!!!!!!

  • @fcruzcanoa

best sound for fishing vids, is the waves, the wind, the reel ,the splashes, and of course, there should be no yelling...

  • @387spiral lol ya that song lol wtf!!!

  • not of yellowfin tuna!!

  • o ok sry

  • there is a HUGE difference on a YELLOW FIN and a BLUE FIN Tuna

  • @fcruzcanoa lol... some people are good at wiki

  • @nickrock6 wrong fish dumbass

  • @nickrock6 uhm your an idiot, the new igfa all tackle record is 403lbs

  • @kwdiver93 well sorry tough guy

  • Congratulations very nice YFT, better than any yellow fin I have ever caught by far.

How can you call it a world record with the mate pulling on the line above the leader like he did?

  • the world record still 388 pound

this weigth is estimades accordin to the formula for weigth.

  • Comment removed

  • If I was able to catch a 389# YFT, with a 4/0 reel, I would have one more pound of tuna meat then the world record holder.

  • Jim

    get your but rigth here

tunas are up well be awaiting for the bad weather to pass and then go back out there

    Kites are working great !

  • gaffs look a little small next to that beast! nice fish!

  • beautiful!!

  • we are on the way back, be there the end of sept. cant wait to see you guys! (the best on the water)and the the fish, well they are just waiting on us! we took a big hunk of the tuna, gave the rest to all who helped and we just now ate the last of it! alot of fish to eat!! a hunk? 2 ft. thick 2ft wide about 40lbs. cant wait!! two weeks!!!

  • nice catch, that would make the trip right there. congrats

  • just a question for the tuna fishers...why are tuna rarely released?

  • because there good to eat

  • well...sure as hell are!

  • would you release food?

  • well i mean i go bass fishing and i release all of them. I consider bass very delicious food.

  • lol def the world record...except the mate touched the line, and its about 60-80 lbs too light....

  • WOW. What a catch !!

  • WOW - What a catch. Awesome. Dont worry what the fairy do-gooders say about fishing, cos the Tunu will eat any small fish in its path.

    Its NATURE BABY !!

I think its unfair to beat the $hit out of some poor innocent onion. Shame, they have feelings too.

But seriously, when I catch, I kill the fish as fast and as humanely as I can and I never keep undersize, endangered or particularly beautiful or friendly fish.

I only keep what I eat and I love and respect nature.

  • lmao thats a shark!

  • you should have released it.

    nice work you macho asses.

  • why release a fish, fished commercially ,and is damn good eating. If you don't like fish why fish.

  • why?

  • If you want to protect the fish, don't feed your family canned tuna. It's better to catch your own and can it and so... much better. You can also smoke it, fry it, sashimi it, broil it, poach it, BBQ itm etc. it. Then if you don't like to eat it, don't fish for it!!!

  • i know

    i catch my own fish

never ate canned fish at all

  • A person of intelligence, not like some rich people whom fish in their million $ boats, with white shorts and dockers, and think they're doing the world a favor, or are yuppies who don't fish at all.

  • thats why there something called piers

  • That is awsome, shame they don't stop trawling a bit, only let the rods on the water... yeah i know impractical but man think of the big game... magic catch guys

  • like to see you guys catch a fish that big

  • sorry

welcome to IGFA new video site

    retard

  • change the title of your video then, because it cleary says "387 plus lbs Yellowfin tuna definitely the new world record"

so, its you that is in fact a retard

  • Nice fish a world record??? there are quite a few yellowfin tuna caught bigger than the world record, and not recorded. I'm sure there are some well over 400lbs

  • yes they are !!!!!!!!!!

and the still IGFA record is 388.37 pound

    caugth at San Bernardino Island

  • Did you get that fish certified by IGFA as a world record? if not, then how can you say that it is a definite world record? show me proof. it is a cow YFT though, i'll give you that.

  • this is not a world record .... the maet was taching the line before the final line..... IGFA rules!!!

  • Comment removed

  • nice fish! just 1 lb short of the world record

  • yes accordind to the formula

and the fish eat a 4 pound skip jack

  • thats not even a yellowfin tuna...its a bluefin, and thats very small for a bluefin tuna

  • jajajajaja

thats the most stupid comment I ever seen

    you make mi day

    bluefins in Puerto Vallarta ?

    in your dreams !!!!!!!!!!!1

  • You obviously don't know what your talking about. That, sir, is NOT a bluefin! It Is an Allison.

  • its funny how every fish caught on youtube is exagerated XD bob sapp is a 375lb man that is 6'3 and way bigger arond than that fish in most places. no way that fish outweights him.

  • thats not that big but nice fish

  • talk about good eats!

  • Nice fish!!!... but those charter guides need to be more prepared to get a fish that size into the boat... I mean, they're taking people out there fishing off Mexico where Yellowfin that size are not uncommon... they need to have a flying gaff handy and hook it into the lower jaw, and with the attached rope, makes it A LOT easier to pull it into the boat... you gotta be quick getting those things on board when you can because when they start bleeding, Mr. Shark will have it for lunch lol.

  • I could swear I saw them use a big gaff attached to a rope, and they got it in pretty fast. Look at video again.

  • wow nice fish ive caught a 180 pounder and it fought like hell. i can only imagine a 387 pounder. nice catch!

  • thanks for your comments!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow epic fish, congrats. The gaff thing is funny, but had I caught that I would have been unprepared as well. Fish of a lifetime

  • thanks for your comments :::::::.

    regards

  • wow. If i saw it i woulda thought it was a shark o.o

  • gotta admit ,big fish, little boat.........

  • i what to go fishing whit him ive seen and chaut big fish

  • What a fish!

  • You guys are killing me with those baby gaffs. We use bigger gaffs for inshore fishing. Buy a harpoon and do it the right way!

  • good yellowfin where did you catched it???????????

  • Puerto Vallarta at El Banco

  • how much tension can that line take?

  • fuck me in the ass and call me suzie thats a bigh ass yellowfin bro

  • Is that considered a world record though becuase the deckhand was touching your mainline before the leader which voids any record or jackpot fish right? Im not sure what the exact rule are as i dont go on any really long range trips but from my understanding thats the rule... Congratulations though definatly a COW!

  • wat bait did u use? u were trolling right?>

  • skip jack about 5 pound

and we were drifting by the banck

this month and the next is about our highest season for mounsters cow Tunas..............

  • what did you do with the 250lbs+ of meat?

  • have my friends,family & neighbors happy

  • im 10 and i know if its a world record the meat doesnt get eaten

  • holy thats huge my dad caught A 300 pound yellow fin in costa

  • yeah gen san. philippines

  • damn man!!! hooking a 5lb littile tuny through the lips and letting him locate a cow YFT... my kind of afternoon

  • thats wath fishing is about...

  • Nice Tuna Nice Tuna,Getting Hungry

  • lots of meat.......

  • I caught a 361 lbs tuna on the red rooster 3 back in 1994. Its tail was almost as wide as that skiff. So sorry, but thats a nice fish anyway, probably went 250 plus.

  • good for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    congratulations for your catch

to bad you don´t got a vid

  • I was 2nd Capt. on the Red Rooster 3 in 00 and 01 and I agree 250-280#s tops. Not a bad catch though for a donkey in a shoulder harness...

  • get a life

  • u can get much bigger ones that

  • stop smoking that sheet !!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice fish.. that thing's a pig!

  • you got that right ....

  • lmao.

    THATS A SHARK!

    nice fish lol.

  • thanks

  • medium rare all u do is drop each side on the pan for 2 secs mmmm

  • ???????????????????

  • Man, thats a lot of delicious steaks cooked to perfection "medium rare" with a teriyaki glaze... Mmmmmm

  • no way buddy, thats not even near the record, i was aboard the Qualifier 105 on the ten day trip in 91 when the real world record yellowfin was taken, that fish made ur tuna look like the bait u threw out, but still either way, both are nice fish, good catch.

  • Big tuna! Lots of it in Gen San, Mindanao, Phlippines.

  • Never believe those liars in their twin screw convertible yachts; you can catch anything they can with an outboard skiff!

  • you have that right

    nice thing about this

that´s way is called fishing and no catching so have a 1,000,000 boat will not guarante catch the best fish

  • I really hope for you that it gets into the book of world records. sorry for my bad english! The vid was great!!!!

  • Gracias por tu comentario Antonio

    saludos

  • thats not a 387 maybe a 250 ive caught alot of ahi

  • keep my mouth closed wit a vid

  • this was FUN to watch!

  • Thanks

  • I hope you all get eaten by sharks

  • tanks for your hopes dude

  • I really hate nose hooking something for live lining, I always feel like its going to fall of when you cast, and its not sure that the fish will be hooked when it attacks, unless its like a striper that always attacks head first

  • You got that rigth when you use Mullet or sardine and you cast that out.

But skipp jack is to heavy to cast (3 lbs) we use that for trolling and works verry well

  • Nice catch, yellowfin are monsters. how long did it fight for?

  • 1:15 minutes and figth like a solid rock

  • it truly is a very very big fish, but it isnt a world record

  • according to the formula for weigth (length x girth x girth / 800) 86x60x60=387 pound and the recor is 388 and that fish eath a 3 pound bonito so you figure that out

  • regardless of weight and world records, that is one big ass yellowfin. the biggest Ive seen here in Oman is 98 kilos, but we get heaps of fish in the 60-75 kilo range.

  • thanks for your comment

  • if it was a world record, it would be in the record book

  • it is pending

  • actually the record is 399

  • 387 lbs

  • the record is 388 unless this is a line class record. and there have been a couple 399s caught.

  • 388, curt weisenhutter (or something close to that spelling), and there has been a 399 caught on a longrange boat, but we dont really follow the IGFA rules out there, so yeah, it didn't qualify.

  • not bad. we get bigger yellow fin of the rocks in Aus but. real fishing

  • 387 my ass. Your full of shit

  • jajajaaj

  • record is 287 lb.

  • 387 lbs

  • thats cool man.............

  • thanks

  • thats acool man.............

  • How many filets did you get out of this one?

  • lots over 140 pound

  • That is a HUGE Yellowfin I believe that fish is EVERY bit as big as you claim. I certainly have never seen one bigger, whether your in the books or not that is indeed a world record class Tuna, congrats gentlemen, I dont understand why you dont hold the record or is it pending?

  • it is pending

    enhorabuena

  • thanks for your comments. we were out having fun fishing with some tremendous friend's and guides. we never thought that we had a fish of this size. Had we known we may have followed different rules. There was a lot of joking going on during the fight to bring him in. Also the video is for entertainment and is the sum of several scenes. (0.50) still, I've caught one. haha It was a BIG fish and once in a life time.

  • You do know that the formula for fish weight is a rough estimate of the weight of the fish, right?

And if it is such the new world record, why isn't it entered into the IGFA?

  • we are very disapointed that we have a king without a offical crown! but a king none the less!! we called ifga but he couldn't/wouldn't come out (sunday in Mex)7:00 pm so we used the offical formula. who knows? with 50 years combined expereince, that fish weighed over 400. you see how much trouble we had to get it in. whatever, it was big.

  • Hey, I liked you catch, and congrads if you have an IGFA WORLD record pending for this yellowfin. I currently have one pending for the largest spiny butterfly ray ever caught. The old world record on the spiny is only 132 and 4 oz. I recently submitted my app (pending), and there is no time limit on all world class tackle, submit anytime. But to you haters out there joking his tuna, Catch a WORLD RECORD ANYTHING then you can add lip! Its not everyday you can even consiter a world record, nice job

  • oh my bad

  • Nice fish and all, but this video just further proves my point that when on the boat, women should keep their tongues in their mouths and their boobs out've their bikinis!!!

  • theres no way that 388 is the world record because people in my town catch 600's all the time

  • there is a BIG diference betwen bluefin tuna and YELLOWFIN TUNA this is not a Bluefin tuna like the people in your town catch all the time

  • Hey Doc,

    I think that's a Yellowfin, not a Bluefin.

  • This is a very nice bluefin tuna, but not even close to the world record. The record is 1,496 Lb caught off the coast of Nova Scotia in 1979... But a very nice fish i caught one about the same size in Hawaii in 2005!

  • you are so rigth the only diference is that this is not a bluefin tuna we don´t have them here this is a YELLOWFIN TUNA and the record is 388 lbs The world record was caught on April 1st 1977 at San Benedicto Island Mexico aboard the Royal Polaris. The official weight of Curt Wisenhutters fish was 388.75.

  • love it when people comment on things they know nothing about.

  • I DON'T BUY IT!

  • thanks for your comment Jeff

  • very good catch

  • nice fish

  • How old is a 92 inches Tuna like this ?

  • NO IDEA

  • The world record yellowfin tuna is 388 and was estimated to be 8-9 years old! Tuna grow extremely fast!

  • do you know when and where they caugth the 388 world record tuna ?

  • The world record was caught on April 1st 1977 at San Benedicto Island Mexico aboard the Royal Polaris. The official weight of Curt Wisenhutters fish was 388.75.

There has also been a 399 and a 395 caught on US sportfishers but were disqualified for not following the IGFA rules!

  • Great Yellowfin! Congrats on a memory of a lifetime!
