lol first of all, the auto transmission in this year jeep is weak, second don't run the transfer case in 4 high above 55 mph an hour or you'll tear it apart, third this is one year before they came out with the high out put engine which was rated at 190 horsepower. this is the pre H.O motor, inline 6 with around 177 horsepower. torque was less as well.

@Boasandpythons You are correct. To my prior knowledge The HO motor only began production in 1991. But due to some research the HO motor FIRST introduction was in the 8th month of production of the year 1990. And from prior knowledge and to now the transmission used 92 autos were AW4 tranny which are a pretty good auto transmission. I learn new things everyday and this post was from 2 months ago. The only thing i accurately stated is the transfer case part.

when i drag my cherokke sport, i put it in 4 high. on the quarter mile i got almost a second faster in 4 wheel drive

2WD, I guess that's the best way to perform an acceleration demo ;) In 4WD Fulltime/parttime it loses power in the transmission, at least that's what I read.
