privacy as a commodity...this is as stupid as it can get.
who gives a @$#@ about what ashton kutcher does or does not? HOW THIS kind of completely useless stuff can possibly change even a bit of people's lives?
This is ALL FAKE and artificial. These guys have no idea of what they are talking about. People are WORKING right now, people are researching, people are studying, people r doing things. It has nothing to do with privacy.
100 years from now they're gonna laugh at this network freaks.
Sean Parker doesn't even point out that there would be no people who are famous just for being famous if it wasn't for Bret Easton Ellis' 1985 book "Less Than Zero" (the film role, where Robert Downy Jr. got his carrier and drug issues). People think culture and creativity happen in a vacuum.
And for one of the first times in his life, Ashton does not have the most money in the room. Even with Demi's money included what's he got? Nowhere near what Parker has. Not even a 10th. Sean could buy and sell him.
@raisaroo Yes that is true to a very small extent. The benefits of opportunity which comes with not being private outweighs the risk that comes with it. Hence there is less economic value in being private.
what i love about this guy is his brutally honest intuitiveness, because i have similar views on privacy and therefore don't belong to any social networking website. having said that i'm the type of person who finds value in simple things, as all people probably should but i digress.
If you have a great product and you are private it can be incredibly economic eventually. If you refuse to do interviews on your product which obviously would have to be great and successful, then eventually people will want you to do an interview. If its the one and only interview you can name your price. And yeh Ashton Kutcher is fucked but that's becuase he is not remarkable in any way.
Ashton who?

Privacy is extemely economical. If the IRS doesn't know how to find me, or anything in my posession, I'm laughing all the way to the bank!
