He wants to keep the story pure for the children, he says, and he's under the impression that a lot of people haven't read the books yet and he doesn't want to give it away.

LOL, exactly same here, I always have to watch his interviews twice for this same reason. one cannot concentrate on exact words, one just hears that extraordinary voice of his, the sound, the melody of it and then one sees his lips curl and his beautiful hands move and the content of what he actually is trying to say gets lost due to sensory overload :) second time around, I listen to his voice without watching so there is less distractions.
