Get the PC version. It's dead cheap and you can customise it to hell. Plus, there are ways of using controllers with it.

I'm not bothering with zombifying everyone in the episodes, but since the same pedestrians from GTA IV are used in the expansions, you can use this mod with it and still make around 90% of people in the city undead. Details in the readme file.

@SuperSweden12 the goal of my mod is to zombify everybody in Liberty City, so you load the game up and everybody you see is a zombie. Each character has their own separate texure file, so if you'd like to keep certain people unzombified, like maybe the cops or paramedics or whoever, simply don't replace their file.

@AppleFaction The only voices in this are the choir singing Ave Satani, and the wails of the pedestrians I set on fire, naturally lower-pitched because the clip is running in slow motion. Zombocalypse, as stated in the video description and TITLE is a skin mod. It makes people LOOK zombified :P

You gotta mix and match mods to get a good GTA IV zombie experience. I recommend using Zombocalypse with Left 4 Liberty, which has attacking zombies that I do believe moan and maybe even snarl.

@SuperScorb OK then, you try creating a relatively convincing-looking set of zombified facial types for all 300+ characters in GTA IV. You create style sheets to have a consistent theme for your zombies. Then go create normal and specualr maps for them. And distressed clothing as well. And give all these hundreds of hours of work away for free for anyone to download and enjoy.

Makes the pedestrians riot like in the older GTAs. A few of the peds have weapons, like.

I'd post a link, but YouTube won't let me.

Anyway, just search around GTA Garage or GTAinside and you'll find it, or maybe even something better that's melee only. Just need to look around.

Just replace the watermarks (Rockstar & Social Club logos) with a transparent PNG image. If you can't be bothered to do that, there's a mod that'll give you the files already altered. Have a sniff around GTA Garage or similar modding sites and you'll find it quickish.

@MrSnaztastic Or just add an 8 second clip infront of your main video in the GTA IV video editor and then edit the first 8 seconds out after you've rendered your video. That's if you have video editing software, I just use adobe premier. Plain and simple. But either way is good enough, if you hate the watermarks xD

@snakexiv14 I believe you mean the MTV-style text that shows up at the start with the video title, author's name etc. That ain't a watermark. And there's no way to remove it by modding, only editing outside of the program like you mentioned. I was explaining how to remove the ACTUAL watermarks, which are the Social Club logo and Rockstar logo that are present all the way through any video rendered from GTA IV.

Zombocalypse uses my custom skins to make people look like zombies, it's only cosmetic.

Try something like Contagium to make them turn hostile and chase ya. Both mods together gives you a proper zombie apocalypse more or less.

@kodzilla12 Ask the developers of Spark IV. I honestly don't know if it's possible to mod the console versions of Grand Theft Auto IV.

The PC version at this point is the absolute best though. Better graphics, more customisation, and of course a massive amount of mods that range from getting snow to entire new islands to play on. It's ridiculously cheap to pick up now and it has controller support, so you can hook up your 360 pad.

@yahhcold I'd argue that GTA IV is a game worth upgrading for, but it's not essential. Once fully patched to the latest version, it'll run well even on lower end computers. Back in 2008, the PC edition was horrid, but since then Rockstar has significantly reworked the tech so it's much kinder to your computer now.

I'd recommend Contagium as a fairly easy to set up zombie gameplay mod. Slowly makes all the citizens turn against you and changes their move styles to look like classic shambling zombies. You even get random shootouts with cops vs. zombies that you can engage in!
