@javelinthrower1 That's right. Just because it's what some people consider a crappy car, doesn't mean you can't modify it and make it better. I made a very reliable, decently fast (for a Tempo) car out of this and it still got almost 30MPG...with no overdrive. It got totalled over 2 years ago.

funny thing is, this sounds so sad, but its funny, you see tons more tempo 2.3s than 3.0ls, and you see tons more corsica 3.1s than 2.2s!

No, I still have the stock cast Iron exhaust manifold. Never got around to putting the header on it.

I wasted lots of money on the Tempo..because it was fun, and everything had to be fabricated..and individuality is my way of life. I know it's slow and it sounds like crap, but how many people do you know that drag raced a Tempo..haha. Watch my other videos for some more laughs.

Nuthin wrong with the way it sounds. 2.3 four cyls are amazing, and if I have to hear a crappy four banger, Id rather it be a 2.3!

@1979corvette1 At this time, it still had the stock cat on it. Just about everything else was stock when I took this video. I went crazy with it later when I got into changing rocker arms and adding a cold air intake and stuff. I miss this car. It got destroyed in August 2009.

It is the stock 2" pipe and cat. with a Thrush Magnum Glasspack muffler. I put a 3A Racing 3.25" Stainless tip on it for looks, and it did make the tone a little deeper.
