I used to keep these as pets when i was living in Thailand :D They are so sweet ^^ I mostly kept hurt ones and fed them sugar cain and bananas until they healed up and flew away :)

every once in a while you will find one or two here in the us. i found my first dead one when i was 6 so i sprayed it with a lot of haispray to kind of preserve it and to keep it from falling apart and i found a second one about 3 years ago. someone killed it because of the huge horn he (idiot) thought it was going to bite him. he didnt crush it somehow. i got that one too. their top horn was the same size as the bottom horn and the beetles are a light brown.

A guy I went to college who had one of these as a pet. For some reason it liked me (I'm a girl). Whenever I'd visit my friend the beetle would fly from wherever it was and PLOP land right on me. The first time I thought it was a remote-controlled toy. Then I realized it was an INSECT. It wouldn't do this with anyone else, even my friend! I guess I must have smelled good or something. It was kinda icky having a big bug on me tho. LOL
