  • my age group was supposed to like Joan Jett's version better; but the ORIGINAL is always the best, as Tommy & the gang proves here..

  • Tommy still sounds pretty darn good. He is pitch perfect on a sound that sounds remarkably contemporary.

  • come on people, you defintaly do not know your music., these songs come from a person heart, for us to sing to one we love.

  • In the summer 1995!

This video was just made for demonstration purpose on how to perform a quicky over the middle position.#

  • ...the solo on this version is the BOMB!!

  • awesome

  • @Alison35100 This song has always been on my personal alltime top100

  • Exceptional talent!!!

  • I didn't like the song in 1968. I considered it too simplistic and it didn't say much except the yearning for a girl. How foolish I was. Those are the strengths of the song. I love it and just learned it. (That didn't take long, lol.)

  • Sounds exactly like 1969. Briliant. Thanks. Silviiie

  • @phantasmphan I was going to say the same thing. If you shut your eyes no time has passed

  • Reminds me of playing spin the bottle with my kissing cousin!

  • I can't believe Razor Ramone gave up this gig to join the WWF!?

  • Thank you !

  • Amazing! I am mesmerize.

  • I am from guatemala city, my english is not good but i want to say that this song is the hotests one i ever heard. i love u guys. Son expectaculares y nunca me canso de oir su música.

  • This is a rare example of a live performance blowing away the original studio version. I never cared for this song until I heard this version. The strong vocals and great guitar solo here take this song to a new level. Tommy was one of those guys who actually got better with age.

  • Tommy James is such a good singer, these guys should get more recognition they should induct 60's line-up into the r'n'r hall of fame

  • Tommy James is such a good singer, these guys should get more recognition

  • Tommy James still knows how to rock.He sounds like he did in the 60's. If you never have ever seen him perform you have missed out on one of the great Icon's.

  • Tommy James & the Shondells, best group of the 60s! I played this record until I wore it out!

  • @TnJen0313

  • The music is great but they need to trash the guitarist and bassist to find some people who can play with feeling rather than flash. this is a feeling song and the guitar solo should be that way sometimes less is more.

  • now THEY are what music is all about...class...feeling...singing and guitar and bringing a smile to the people!!!Right ON baby :-)Thanks for posting :-)

  • Happy Birthday Tommy !!!! Thanks for all the years of great music.

  • It{s playback !!!!!!!

  • too bad about the wanker guitar solo ..Tommy is amazing though! Open E tuning too! What a god!

  • @jcabanaw Yeah the guitarist is playing bonehead heavy metal solos, what a shame.

  • It's John Stamos on Bass

  • #1 in 69 around the globe, a massive hit.

One of the greatest tunes ever written, a fantastic music compilation.
