  • well know fact, instead of typing in "localhost" you can just use "127.0.0.1" or "0.0.0.0"

  • Why don't you just use windows short cut key instead of enso? Windows Key + E = explorer Win key + R then firefox = firefox.

  • I'm halfway through this tutorial so far. I hope it goes well.

  • nice tutorial very easy but for vista users install xampp in C:/programfiles/xampp because it will make probs

  • hey i need help well i guess i just need a path. When i click in my control panel SCM. when i double click mysql my path is mest up because when i click start it says " error #3 the system could not find the path specified " Can someone reply with there path

  • Are you having trouble with port 80 from outside of localhost?

If you can't see your web server locally then perhaps close everything that would possibly use port 80 then try again.

Otherwise if you're trying to access your web server from outside your local network you'll need to modify your routers WAN settings to allow traffic into port 80, and you'l need to forward that traffic to your IP.

  • Thank you!! Very useful! And if anyone got port problem check your Skype - it might be using needed ports and also ISS might be using them. Good luck :D

  • Very helpful guide, I'm having problems with port 80 so maybe make a video about that?
