Right, so, I have given up my ballet and instead I am askin my parents if i can go horseriding where it is £17 PER HOUR which is really cheap, i have explained 2 them how cheap it is and why horse riding is fun and good 4 u, but they still won't listen, plz mail me any tips to convince them !!!!
@crisfromro but it's nicer for your horse if you make your beginner balance mistakes on a pretend horse.... I think this is a great way to begin... for the sake of the real horse !
Maybe it is good for beginners or something for their seat, but a real horse can always make a bow to the wrong side you lose your balance and fell of, no I think its better to learn riding on a real horse.
The simulator will never substitute the real horse. However, it is an incredible tool as a training aid . Specially for nervous riders, someone recovering from injury or beginners . Clement " The Dressage and riding simulator" has helped riders of all ages and all levels to asses their skills. The simulator is programmed to react to your aids the way a real horse would . @ClementDressage Not to mention that a lot of people don't have the privilege of being able to ride a real horse, due to perhaps:- serious allergies and disabilities. :)
So you can keep horses from irritation and pain caused by beginners. And for beginning riders, it is also safer to find balance, serenity and study the correct use of aids. A riding instructor is very close to it and can communicate better.
But as good a man riding the Robot, a live horse is a different house number. A being with its own soul, character, will, temperament and feeling. If this empathy suddenly starts to become important, then separate the wheat from the chaff among the riders.
it's really cool and all but I bet if you put someone who has never ridin on that horse and you make it gallop or trot, the person wouldn't fall. If you'd put the same person on a real horse and make it trot/galop, it's more likely the person would fall off.
I've ridden one of these guys. Its not easy to keep the horses head still huh(nor your riders in this case)? It fab for showing us how little we need to use our hands.
Machanical horse...

Looks very smooth. Would be a good tool for a beginner - would allow an instructor to teach the seat and hands. Cool.

wtf. i would HATE THAT!!!! riding a horse is nothing you can "simulate".
no real connection or feel can be duplicated with a robot.
riding a horse requires skill. not just sitting there and letting the robot automatically "go".
