@Synthiotics I would go as far as "from all singers in the low countries" :) And I know thats she's from belgium but I called it a dutch country because in the (very very) old days Belgium belonged to the Netherlands (look it up via Google if you want to know about it) as that was the collective name given to the combination of the three low countries and is why they also speak dutch in the half of Belgium. Luxembourg was the third part of the Netherlands.

I think is an old girlfriend who is no longer with her for some reason, could be a distance because she has to be where she wants to be and they can't be together. Or it could be that she wants to get married with a guy instead of having a lesbian relationship. But she (the singer) will always love her and be her friends although they are not together. Sometimes you love someone so much that you want to let them go and be happy with someone else although you wish it was you who make her happy.
