Topspin 3 is a headache lol wouldn't you rather play a simple yet fun tennis game? Not press several different buttons to hit one shot The only problem i have with this game is the online multiplayer They screwed up the online room where 8 people could come in and spectate and play doubles or singles together. The online mini games were a nice touch though

well ive been playing it for about 45 mins now and ive not yet had an unforced error. stupid. i try my hardest to make one just to see if it can be done, holding the directional pad as long as i can while hitting the shot but it never goes out. and this is supposed to be evolution from vt3 then theyre muppets. how can u overlook unforced errors ffs??!?!!!? in vt3 if u had left or right too long thenit would go out..with this u can just do it all day and itll stay in.

I owned Virtua Tennis 3 and absolutely loved it. I was waiting for months for this new game to come out, and its a total disaster. Far too easy to win matches on the World Tour only to go one or two places up the rankings. The ranking system online is farcical, I have "lost" matches that I actually won plummeting my overall rating way down.

It's a roster update from Virtua Tennis 3 with only the issue of the diving players being addressed. Its a rip-off.

but Virtua Tennis sucks.

It takes two strokes to win a ball each time you win a tournament you move 2 spaces forward on the list, there is 200 places in the amateur league and 150 in the professionals. All players ladies and men are equally good in all, it is no style difference, the game is a disaster I have just won 6-0 against Federer on "Very Hard" This game is shit!!! don 't buy it

Dear Devs if u should read dis: Just got the PC - Version and it is not bad but very buggy ! Massive probs with the Player editor , sometimes u can't access to a hairstyle or it doesn't show the eyebrow changes in the screen etc. ! Worst is it doesn't save that exact player that u edited - it looks different ingame and if she should be a doublehand backhander he is singlehanded (trying to create Agassi btw.) Please bring a big patch asap! And how about some big updates for this game to come!?

Top Spin 3 is good, but for the wii its shit. There are only about 4 game modes and theres no feature for lefties!!!!! Virtua tennis 2009 doesnt look to bad but i just dont know. Grand slam tennis might be something worth looking into. Just remember top spin 3 is good for the 360 and ps3 but in my opinion just not good for the wii.

I thought VT3 was huge fun despite all these top spin fan boys rants and I went out and got VT 2009 only now I wished I had brought Top Spin 3, LOL.

I'm not a big tennis fan but I do like playing it, but this VT 2009 seems to have a few bugs in it. Online was a nightmare, the ball kept 'getting' stuck and then my characters 'gear' changed and I could not change it when I resumed my offline world tour. The graphics do not seem as crisp as VT3.

If you have VT3 there's no reason why you should buy this game. Improvements are minor and subtle, graphics are ok, but not that great. I haven't played online yet, at least that should be fun.

All in all, don't sell your copies of Top Spin 3 for this folks! Nothing new to see here.

Look at the players in VT running round like headless chickens most of the time! It's embarrassing, you do not see pros running round like that and playing certain shots like those. VT continues to bring very little in the way of realism to the game of the tennis but of course it is more arcade and fun-orientated. If you're a serious tennis player and want more realism then top spin is the way to go.

I like the fact you have to concentrate in Top Spin on every single shot like you would do when you are really playing tennis! The controls take a while to get to accomplish, and once you do you will realise it's all about timing and strokeplay. It's a great sports simulation, one of the best on the gaming market imo. But VT is fun to play and it appeals to the arcade style gamers which is fair enough.
