Easy to say if your team was not around at that time. The Rangers already had 3 cups before your expansion team was ever thought of.
Also you don't have a dynasty and it goes away.A dynasty is something that lasts over time.I also said that im not saying you need to be a orignal six team. I consider Ottawa a dynasty and they are not a orignal six team. I only consider them a dynasty because they only entered the nhl a few years after the original 6 teams were established.

hahaha. your a total idiot. you should really just stop replying to my comments. they probably take you an hour to type and they are pointless. First of all The Rangers beat your farm team 3 out of 4 times. the one loss was in a shootout. Your farm Team was only around after all of the injuries, not the whole season.Second,the rangers didn't play well until the 2nd half of the season (lack of chemistry),so its kind of hard to get past the 2nd round when you play the 2nd and 4th place teams.

deserving? the isles won those cups when the during the years when the NHL was full of goons and relativly little talent....remember that was the same time period when US and Canadian teams were getting their asses kicked by European and Russian teams. Team Russia beat the NHL all stars in the Challenge Cup in 1979 and the NHL all stars had Bossy, Trottier, Gillies on their team 3 hall of fame islanders...
