  • NOOPE

  • how do you get the membrain off?

  • what brand skiner did you use in this video?

  • damn i love me some deer meat

  • Been there Done that.

    And love it.

    Least u didn't waste it

  • Thanks Brutha!

  • how long did it take to skin?

  • @adasacat it took him 4 minutes he hold a record :)

  • @luomas2

    holy shit!! haha

  • I can eighth it. Maybe seventeenth.,x

  • lol..... when i heard this song come on, i just had to laugh... badass brother... ted n deer skinnin go together like deer n jerky.

  • cool video man, thanks for putting it up. What do you do with the stuff you don't skin/ eat? Seems wasteful to throw it away

  • Nice vid, good way to skin!

  • anybody else feeling backstrappish???

  • hell, how many of us had to drink the blood of the first deer we killed.....

  • @nwtat2 dude... your probably the only one?

  • hey, to all the hunters out there, i'm just wondering how you guys get that perfect looking trophy on your walls. I don't know much about hunting so forgive me if it was a foolish question.

  • @arcticcat700xtx hardly anybody does it thereself, they take it to a taxidermist

  • @arcticcat700xtx simple, if your using a taxidermist make sure you have more fur than necessary and dont make any cuts that you would see on your wall. also cut from the skin, not the hair.

  • thanks, well done. we usually hang the deer head down, then separate the left and right side with a saw, right in the middle of the backbone but seeing it done a different way is cool! how long do you left the deer in the fridge before doing butchery? we usually let him cool 6-9 days at 4-6 degrees celsius. thanks again, nicelly done! good luck for this season! hello from Quebec, Canada

  • im so glad you played this song, i listen to it every time i hunt. ted nugent is the man

  • @1337Xcountry Right there with you....That's hilarious!! Definitely gave me a good laugh. I'm glad there are so many idiots in the world. Makes us normal people feel good about ourselves!!! :o)

  • is deer blood poisonous to humans? a butcher friend told me it was

  • @celticraider1 Haha, ahhh, nope. Not poisonous at all. Well, let me restate that. I wouldn't go drinking deer blood for the heck of it. But when you cook it medium rare, there is still a little bit of blood/juice in there. And I've never known anyone to die from it. Hahaa

  • @Durameter Oh fuck i drink some of the bollfrom the frst deer i kill over huntin season. SHIT MAN lol

  • @Durameter yeah statistics show your more likely to die from a comet hitting the earth then dying from botulised meat

  • @neferibi Wanh, wanh, wanh,,,go cry to Obama. I'm sure he'll make a new law that forbids of from hunting to provide meat or food for our families....You are such a cry baby liberal piece of walking trash. Where do you think all the meat you get from the grocery store comes from. Cows that wonder around in the woods and people sit patiently in a tree for 4 hours waiting to get a shot at one? NO!! , they lock them up in stalls and then just walk by and slit their throats..store meat. Complaint?

  • @neferibi its caled fingernails and canine teeth we do we just dont let them grow out

  • @neferibi You would like to arm the animals. With what, exactly? Considering they have no fingers with which to hold weapons?

You would like to teach them how to make human stew and produce rugs of their skin. How, exactly? Considering they're not self-aware and not capable of manipulating their environment enough to produce fire or tanning equipment?

If humans are disgusting, why don't you kill yourself? Come on, don't be a coward! Stand up for what you believe in! Kill yourself today!

  • @Zidana123 hahahahaha that was the best and funniest thing i heard all day! your right he should kill himself! hahaha make it a YouTube response video hahaha

  • I would like to arm the animals and teach them how to make human stew and produce rugs of their skin.

    Sick video.

Just because they are not human it's OK to use their skin and meat.

    Humans are disgusting. Walking graves.

If we were supposed to eat meat we would have fangs and claws like carnivores.

  • @neferibi we kind of do have fangs, called canine teeth :L although I just hate humans in general, but still we need food and it's impossible to live without it

  • @thjage Right on!! you got it.

    :o)

  • @neferibi if we weren't supposed to eat deer, god wouldn't have made them out of meat.

  • @neferibi really are about a dumbass, what about cow and pig? God didnt put all them things on earth to eat grass, us hunters is just putting some real good use to them

  • @48cotton Amen bro. God put animals on earth for our service and food.

  • Yikes, I've always wanted to go deer hunting, but I wouldn't know what to do with the deer after. This honestly though looks so much like a person, makes it look creepy. But nice video, gave it a 5 stars, and yeah a vocal instruction would have been nice.

  • OMG. That backtrap looks so good.

  • @Txbreedandraised Yes, they were Soo good and tasty!! Especially when cooked right, which is medium rare. Most people don't know this, but when you cook venison any more than medium rare, that's when you get that "game meat" taste. I'm sure you know that..I'm just making a "in general" comment!! :o)

  • YUMMMMM.

  • Great, thanks. Valuable skills.

  • 00:50 Is that considered a choice cut off the back ?

    Yes, I'm new.

  • Those are the Back Straps and yes considered choice!! There are however two other pieces that are better, called the tenderloins, which are taken out right after you gut the Deer. They are located inside the cavity right where the groin muscles are. They're very small, but you can cut them with a fork they're so tender.

  • Thanks, excellent. That was by far the best and most enjoyable how to shin a deer video out there. Going after them in the morning, wish me luck

  • very good but a vocal instruction would have helped for begginers

  • Hey, that's a very good idea. I should have thought about that. Perhaps the next time I do it, I'll add a vocal commentary.

    Thanks for your input!

    :o)

  • well all do it differently i supose as long as the job gets done

  • Exactly! I've seen so many different techniques over the years. This just happens to be the way I prefer!

    Thanks!

  • i'd love too give that a go i go hunting but theres not many wild deer in ireland best i can get is a duck

  • Hey, nothing wrong with Duck!!

    : o)

But Deer is a bit better, more meat, more fun to hunt etc.. If you ever come stateside let me know and I'll hook you up!

    l8r

  • Great video man. Loved th music with it.

  • when i see a deer...honestly all i think of is back straps haha

  • Haha!, Oh yeah, right there with ya!

    :oP

  • steak on the hoof man

  • Nice video!!!! What is the song that ya played in it???

  • great white buffalo

  • awe yeah!

  • i only had deer once at my friends house lol

  • Looks like you made some hippies cry. They can keep their tofu burgers, I'll stick with beef and venison. Thanks for the video!

  • Thanks dude! Appreciate the hippie dig!

    ;oP

  • just had my first deer burger...amazine!! I want to start hunting that's why I checked this video out lol can't get enough of this meat LOL

  • It's one of the, if not the best (lean) red meat you can get! Love it!

  • You need a good grinder to do much with rib meat anyways. We skin our deer from the hind legs to the head. Easy work, plenty of meat on them this year. Good to see so much backstrap on yours. Shot mine on the move right through them and lost some steaks.

  • I've done that a few times. What a drag. Grinders are defintely a must!

  • sexy job!!!

  • sexy?!?! lol

  • Fuckin redneck

  • your a dumbass

  • You're - Not your. As in; you are. Do you have a comprehension of the English language or are you just a complete idiot?!?!?

  • What a tool! Yeah, I've worked at the Chrysler Tech Center for the last 11 years in IT; support and development. I've also worked in advertising and graphic design. So, how does providing meat for my family make me a redneck?!?!?!

  • I bet you hit that damn deer with a ford truck on your way home from work...

  • nicely done! a little warm out?

  • Haha, yes it was!

  • Can you post a video of how to skin a human? I heard them be good eaten.

  • nasty

  • Hmm. I'm pretty sure that would violate some type of law?

  • good eaten

  • pro

  • stop being mean!

  • How is bringing food to the table mean?

  • It's not. Anybody calling this mean is a tool. Where does that person think the red meat wrapped in plastic at the supermarket comes from? If you're willing to eat it you should be willing to kill it, skin it, and quarter it.

  • very nice! hope i get to try doing it myself this year instead of paying someone to process it for me.

  • Nice to not have to pay $75 or whatever it costs now a day.

  • in west virginia it only 60$ but i got my 1st deer yestrday im 13 it was only 5pt ut weighed over 180 pouns and all the places to take ur deer to to cut up are closed they only take40 deer aday they are booked up

  • Congrats! Sounds like a nice "first deer" to me. Good job!

  • thank you

  • Not to be mean but at 13 I hope your school is teaching you a little more about grammar and spelling. Good job on the first deer though.

  • i think skinning my deer takes the longest amount of time ever, i hate it, especially if its frozen

  • nice job man

  • Thank you sir!

  • whats with every video i see they all hang it from the neck lol you gotta hang it from the back knees makes a much easier job

  • I guess it's a matter of preference. I like it this way. Thanks though.

  • I like hanging them from the neck. When the whole job is done all that is hanging is the ribcage. Hanging them by the legs makes it more difficult to manuever. And you can't cut the back legs off to lay them on a table to clean.

  • Yep, that's my thinking too!!

Of course half the people I talk to do it the other way. Guess it doesn't really matter!

    ;o)

  • Not bad for a Yankee!

  • A bit cheeky eh? lol

    :o)

    Thanks,

    Cheers!

  • Nice, is it dead yet?

  • hahahahaha!!!

  • Great job man!! Best deer cleanin vid ive seen so far!

  • Thanks!!

    :o)

  • Big doe! And a nice shot also!!!

  • Thank you very much!

  • awesome...if only we can do that here in singapore. that long piece @0.55...thts the tenderloin innit? sweet ass....

  • Nope. That is the Backstrap. The tenderloin gets eaten the night you get it (usually), because that's the freshest and best time. Since it's completely exposed after you gut the deer, you want to get it out and clean it up right away.

  • You better learn how to hunt and kill for your lunch pretty soon people. Get as much knowledge as possible before the economy collapses.

  • Thanks for the support guys!!!

  • Yeah, going in the woods to get my food for free is Stupid.

Um, well then you're stupid for going to the grocery store!!!

You probably eat those poor hepless fish that they raise in Pens 1/500,000th the size of their natural habitat till they get slaughtered and sent to the store where sickos like you buy and eat those tortured fish!!!!!

  • Finally, someone who sees it the same way I do. This way all the deer go through is 10 seconds of gettin shot by something and its over rather then a lifetime of being kept in a pin. Plus hutting thins out numbers which increases the amount of food for other animals of that species which in turn supplies the other animals with more happyness. Everyone wins.

  • here in ohio the numbers are something like 200,000 are born every year and 20,000 are killed by hunters alone, theres still a good population increase so i dont know why everyone says its so terrible to hunt. look at how much road kill we have as it is, without killing off some we'd all be up to our neck in deer lol

  • Right on!

  • cool, had you tried this with the beast alive? messy....

  • davidls11, Why the fuck are you even watching this vid if you dont approve of it. this is an informative video on how to clean and prepare an animal to eat. Moron!

  • davidls11 thinks hunting for the sport and self reliance of it is wrong!!! typical tree hugging faggot

  • cant wait to get my FIRST deer this year! yeah i know, 16 years old and never been hunting..........sad

  • That's how old I was when I got my first! Good luck to you! I love it!!

  • fuck off liberal, we REAL men are self reliant and hard workers, not a bunch of tree hugging, peta supporting fags

  • your a stupid faggot!

  • "You're" not "your"...illiterate moron!

  • caint wait for deer season! let a 8 pointer walk twice last year...only cause i didnt have a good clean shot and this year his ass is mine

  • Get him!!!!

    : )

  • thats the plan, i made a redneck food plot after the power company smoothed out the power line...i did donuts and spun tires and shit and then sprinkled corn and soy beans seeds and covered them up lol

  • Very nice video man. Have you ever had to deal with carcasses infested with parasites? I agree with ya on not bothering to eat the ribs, there looks to be next to no meat on them. How do you bleed the carcass? Do you discard the blood? I hope to hunt for my own deer soon so this vid is more motivation :)

  • I cut the deer open, then cut out the insides, then just turn it over and dump the blood out with all the guts. I've never had an infected one, with anything. Sometimes I cut out the heart and liver for grandpa's barn cats to eat. They go nuts for the stuff!, lol

  • Rib meat and all the other stuff that's not worth the time is great to feed the dog with.

  • Would it be wrong to stuff a whole deer?

  • Not at all. I would think it would look cool! You talking about a Big Buck? or a Doe? Either one would be cool! IMHO

  • Either. I was just wondering. I've never seen it happen is all.

  • I've seen it before and it looks pretty cool if done right!

  • Nice Job. Going to the Queen Charlotte Islands in June to slay some bucks. Should be fun. Vid was inspiring.

    cheers.

  • Cool. Sounds like a great trip!

    Thanks....

    Have fun!

  • i find it easier to hang it from the back legs and skin down to the head. but, it looks like you got it down pretty good. nice post.

  • man i hunt skin and cook deer 2 so we are so compatibale i have a bunck of furs and stuff its cool

  • Do you have any videos or pictures of your stuff?

  • Where did you pick those skills up?? I've always wanted to hunt, skin and cook my own game just never had the opportunity..

  • I've always been around people that hunt. Got my first deer at 16. Love doing it. It's so rewarding providing food!! You need to give it a try. Lots of fun too!

  • Very clean man, well done!

  • nice vid. i generally don't bother with the ribs either if i'm butchering it myself. too little meat with too much fat layered in.

  • Hey, glad someone agrees with me!!

    : )

    Cool, thanks!

  • This is so ugly. I must really strong wine when deers are Killed.

  • Comment removed

  • Um, ok then.

  • exc video dude! now that's gittin her done! where did ya get that Buck, I noticed SJ on ur shirt. Im from Santa Cruz now livin in FL.

  • Thx dude!

Actually got the Deer where I live, in Michigan. The SJ shirt is from when I went out there for some training a few years ago..Love it out there though!

  • what song is that?

  • Ted Nugent

    Great White Buffalo

  • are you a butcher? lol.

  • Nope. And I'm not a baker or a candle stick maker either!!

    ; o P

  • hahaha. well, then you sure do know your meats.

  • I want you to try an Alaskan Ulu knife next time durameter. I think you'll love it. I got a carbon steel model. Watch out some models are for show only or maybe you like to have real Ivory handle. I won't use nothing else. Nice video though still.

  • I have always wanted to try one of those. Just never got around to it. I might just have to!

    Thanks

  • man that was the fastest deer skining i have ever seen! lol

  • Holy shit dude, you're fucking good!! I've seen a lot of people skin deers, but that was clean as hell. Much respect!

  • Hey thanks alot!

    : )

  • damn you sure know what you are doing! I only know how to skin a squirrel and a coon so far... the other day i shot a deer and gave it to my uncle as a late b-day present. I have no idea what he did with it...

  • Thanks! Once you've seen someone do it, it's not that difficult. Just need to pay attention, that's all.

    Nice B-day present! : )

    I'd take that anytime....

  • perfecto !!

  • That was just about the coolest thing I have ever seen...

  • Kewl, thanks!

    : )

  • not bad i usually hang mine by the back legs but what ever works for you

  • Hey, whatever way works for you. This guy's method is fine, and he obviously knows what he's doing. I don't bother with rib meat, either. Unless you've shot a morbidly obese deer, there's going to be little to no meat on the ribs. That doesn't bother me, what bothers me is when people take one cut of meat and then dump the deer. I watched two guys one time who took the backstraps and then dumped off the rest of the deer. That was a waste.

And good song, btw. Gotta love Uncle Ted.

  • hey awesome vid ive been hunting since i was about 5 im 14 now i've got gutting the deer down, i'm just still working on skinning it :) just got 1 last week

  • Hey Thanks! Congratulations.

You should give it a try one time. Once you learn, processing is pretty easy. Saves money too!

  • i use a truck to skin my deer usually i use to cut the skin off like that but it saves like 30 min to it with a truck and thats grse letting the deer sit for ten days out side put it in a frige for 1 or 2 days ipost avid of my dad useing the truck to skin a deer

  • It's ok to let it sit outside when it's below 30°F , colder than a fridge. What so gross about that? I've been doing this for 20yrs . . .got it down pretty good.

  • dont bother with the rib meat?

    whatta waste?

you should eat the liver, heart, rib meat, everything eatable!

  • cool. post a video of you preparing liver/heart, interesting to see how you cook it.

  • sorry

    my camera is broken

    i will asap!

  • do you use the bones?

  • Yes. I make whistles from the rear legs.

  • your not serious r u ?

  • Yes. Do a google image search and I bet you can find some...

  • sweet i'll have to try that i jest use them to make soup
