  • at 2:00 my uncles truck goes by hah

  • you made it so heavy to carry but good work!!

  • what was your range when you split the wood?

  • Psi/ Bar?

  • @coool759

    130PSI in this video.

  • shoot teh car

  • nice gun man, but seriously, disposing batteries like that is really bad for the environment. shame.

  • Plans/instructions please?

  • The siver thing, is it a sprinkler valve?

  • What is the thing holding the resovoir and the barrell?

  • how much does cost?

  • I know you said you don't go past 500psi on the QEV but what is the actual pressure rating on the QEV? Because I couldn't find any on Ebay higher than 150Psi....any suggestions???

  • And we wounder why gun regulations get stricter? Morons shooting steel balls and batteries around a built up area.

    You Dill

  • how does the trigger work? the air chamber isnt behind the trigger

  • hey, would smaller ball valves release pressure faster/ more effieciently than bigger valves? ive messed with some 3/4 valves, but they dont seem to turn as fast as 1/2" valves. what lubricant is good in the valves?

  • @princeofcats548

No, even with a slower turn speed, a larger valve should release the air mass quicker. Area is pi*r SQUARED, exponents do magical things.

  • @JonProce awright, what kinda lube would you recomend in a ball valve? any better trigger systems?

  • @JonProce Do you oil your qev. And if you do what do you use.

  • Lets just shoot acid filled tubes at high velocities at solid objects... not the best idea ever. Ever had one blow?

  • @riley191919

No. Batteries aren't full of liquid acid.

  • fire wood lol

  • Have you thought about using a longer barrel? Even with the low 115 psi you're using you could still add another foot to the barrel...

  • @TheStuffWorks He is also better off using a schuttle qev (European qev, etc) over the diaphragm qev's that alway leak air at high pressure. At 300psi, this gun will kill. Just imagine the amount of KICK from a 32ci air reservior at 300psi.

  • HOW TO VIDEO PLEASE!

  • Measure that on chrony. Weight a battery and calculate energy.

  • @ExcidiumDubStep I could use a different ammo, such as powdered chilli pepper wrapped up in paper and stuffed down the barrel.

When shooting, the paper wrapped pepper round should explode in the barrel releasing the powdered pepper dust at high velocity onto the target. This is sheer stopping power without penetration.

  • f*** me and call me shirley !!!!!! big thumbs

  • use ball bearings if you carnt get hold of bbs

  • a air gun should have 10,000 psi so it can fire at 4500 feet per sec at 400 foot pounds of muzzal vel

  • good idea for a riot gun, be fun to use at a occupy event and shoot some hippies with bwahahaha

  • @ResistIslamToday Good for SHTF home defence, or for sniper shots from a concealed location. It is a quiet whisper weapon. Try using a long barrel (50cm - 100cm) with a smaller reservior (1/2 barrel volume) at a higher pressure, say 300psi.

  • @johnny771977 i was wondering could you put a battery or somthing else like that in say a 50 cal paint ball gun?

  • @ResistIslamToday Properly made spud guns are DANGEROUS at high pressure (250 - 300psi). They will leave a penetrating wound with marbles, ball bearings, modified crossbow darts, unlike paintball guns that just leave a welt.

Just make a powerful but ugly looking spud gun (like the one in the video), where you can detach the barrel easily, so that nobody can prove that it is a spud gun.

  • @ResistIslamToday We all need some form of home defence if the SHTF, with the current economic crisis. You want to incapacitate your opponent from a safe distance, to avoid close quarter battles with knives, clubs of bottles. Spud guns are good, but they are single shot, quiet sniper weapons. You need a smaller air reservior

(approx. 1/2 barrel volume, but varies) at high pressure (300psi) if you pump with a shock bicycle pump.

  • @ResistIslamToday These spud guns may be illegal, depending on muzzle energy. They would work as Less Lethal HOME DEFENCE, they are single shot and take about 45 seconds to pump and reload, so every shot must be placed carefully, unless you have a large air supply and a quick ammo reload mechanism.

  • @ResistIslamToday The AA battery might not fit in the barrel - they are about 14mm diameter. The 50 cal marker might not be as powerful as the 68 cal marker.

These home made spud guns are MORE POWERFUL than paintball guns, but they are single shot weapons. You will get the right barrel size for marbles, ball bearings etc only by trial and error.

A 3/4 stainless steel pipe (1.6mm wall thickness) fits 16mm marbles; 15mm (1/2") copper tube with 17/32" brass tube insert fits 1/2" ball bearing.

  • nice vid :)

  • You need a pressure guage!!!!

  • i cant remember wut its called but how does the thing u pole fire the qev

  • @chickenfarmer296 You need to get a picture of a QEV WITH 3 PORTS. PORT 1 = INLET, PORT 2 = RESERVIOR, PORT 3 = EXHAUST. High pressure air is supplied to through port 1 and ends up in reservior attached to port 2. A drop in pressure from port 1 causes the reservior to dump its air contents through port 3, where the BARREL is attached.

From the video, the blow gun attached to the tee piece fires the gun by reducing pressure from port 1. Use a ball valve instead of a blow gun for quick discharge.

  • @johnny771977 -thanks

  • Awesome!

  • Fun and Educational?

Shooting batteries might be fun but, not a very environmentally conscious way of deposing of them.

  • @xXLim3Xx This might be an effective, but illegal method of disposing of LOOTERS and RIOTERS in a SHFT WROL situation, during an economic crisis - an improvised self defence sniper weapon. A longer, smaller bore barrel will make a silent, stealth, whisper weapon.

  • This device would be good to use in a "serious" fight - one shot, one kill. Aim for "centre of mass" to "immobilise" an assailant, to stop an attacker dead in his tracks.

  • i wanted to see what the battery looked like after you shoot stuff with it:(

  • @Mrlickumz The battery might have "evaporated", melted or "turned to ashes". The battery might even be as flat as a "two pound coin". ONLY JOKING!

  • @Mrlickumz It would be good to use a thinner barrel, to try 9.5mm (3/8") or 8mm (5/16") steel balls. This thing will destroy skin, muscle and bone tissue.

  • Wonderful weaponry of the 21st century, when all the guns (I HAVE NONE) are finally confiscated by all the Governments.

Good self defence weapon, good stopping power.

This is another good idea that I have acquired from the internet. The first was how to obtain 1000fps by inserting an airsoft barrel into the powertube of a Tippmann 98.

A sturdy barrel support is essential for this setup.

  • this thing is sick man

  • @danipaly2009

    Thanks dude!

  • Where did you buy the burst valve? and how much was it?

  • @higgybaby1239876

eBay, I think I got two for 80 dollars. They come in various sizes and different prices.

  • @JonProce whats the exact name of the valve and did you have to modify it in any way than the blow gun

  • @JonProce Which marble gun gives more fps and air efficiency? Is it the Ball valve operated gun, or the QEV operated gun? Does your QEV ever leak?

  • what did u use as a trigger

  • @TheMetaliztah

It's a normal blow gun, you need to relieve the pressure off the backside of the valve for it to release the charge.

  • @JonProce tnx so much men .

  • if you don't mind me asking, how much did that cost total to make (including air)

  • @NathanielBlack12

    Probably about a hundred dollars

  • @JonProce

Okay, wow that's a reasonable price.

  • Holy shit man that thing is very powerful!

  • good job

  • shooting over a street... eeeh

  • keep it up... well done

  • can you do this without the air compressor?

  • @GamerSwag

You could, I suppose. It would be inconvenient though. You'd need a really high pressure bike pump or something like that.

  • Your pretty close to that road man watch it. ;)

  • @elvensbane

    Yes, mum. :-)

  • @JonProce Just saying something that demolishes boards you should watch it xD.

  • @JonProce lol

  • that should be illigal!!!!!!!

  • don't come in this guy's house...

  • yeah... its much easyer for you ! you have an air compresor

  • Hey man you should look at my video about the same thing but I use lead pointed rounds and it goes threw a paint can... Full of paint it's pretty crazy but I would recommend you make your air-tank smaller or make your barrel longer because there's a lot of excess air in your cannon so that's just my recommendation

  • @mikelikefatcat

    too much air never hurts!

  • OK... I get it. AA batteries as slugs! priceless! Those would make a serious hit.

  • what kind of valve is that?

  • @azza406

    It's a quick exhaust valve

  • @JonProce hey, do you know what brand?? and if you want some AWESOME results, you should make a barrel sealing piston valve!! but please tell me what brand!!!!!

  • @evanmcorleytv

A QEV is just a commercial grade barrel sealing piston valve. Same principal, just not homemade.

  • @JonProce happy spudding!!

  • @JonProce also, for your barrels... they are a little short, if you want optimum results calculate the chamber-to-barrel ratio. For optimum results, you should have a ( 1.5 to 1 ) ratio!! 1.5 chamber, to 1 barrel!!

  • what diameter was your copper barrel.

and of course you can learn something from this!?!?

  • @mx0506

1/2" copper plumbing pipe, 1/2" plastic sprinkler pipe. The ID of the plastic is a little larger.

  • Nice dude, firing toxic alkaline batteries into pristine land. Excellent. Way to make a fail out of a win.

  • nice man, yeah i actually made one similar to this, except im using 500psi. Now im moving on to making a coil gun, little bit more challenging.

  • @Warlockofhell you can buy pretty nice capacitors of ebay that are large for about 20 bucks. a whole bunch for about 90.
