  • Just installed Banks Monster on my 07 Frontier. Runs like ass on the freeway. Cruise control shuts off by itself cuz it can't pull.......?......... RPM's kinda surge up and back down on the freeway. Any issues with anything resembling this with your set-up? Thanks - MC

  • @mcpimpdaddy1 I have no issues whatsoever like that with my setup, nor before I got it. I'm assuming you're and automatic. Has your check engine light come on?

  • Does the dual exhaust still allow you to have the spare tire underneath, where it goes?

  • @HeadNtheClouds Yes it does. The piping is routed completely to the right side of the spare tire, which is really the only way to do it unless you want to run a smaller spare, then you can easily go out both sides.

  • hey i have an 08 LE and i want to get an exhaust i want a flowmaster and i like the one you got on so i was wondering if you could tell me which one tht is in the flowmaster series and how much it costs?

  • Its a custom setup, details on the side for $600

  • sounds like your chain tensioners are going bad...Just had mine fixed...were making the same noise from the engine.

  • Truck's sounded like that from the day I had it...if it were the tensioners it would be making more of a grinding/whining noise. Before I got my exhaust put on myself and my friends and I would joke it sounded like and RC car. BTW, how many km's were on your truck when u had the tensioners replaced?

  • @cheefchin How long have you had it though? Look up nissan frontier tensioner problem...I know there are a few youtube vids on it with the sound it makes...Mine wasn't really a high pitched whining noise, it sounds just like that. Mine were raplaced at 48k miles. I just purchsed my 05 a month ago and noticed the problem right when I got it and the replaced everthing under warranty.

  • V6 engine huh?

  • Yup...4.0L DOHC VVT V6

  • lol....someone steals the camera when he drives away.

  • What?

  • you heard me

  • No one stole the camera as I drove away...I was the only one there...

  • I was just saying that would be funny....jesus shit!

  • Ahh I got ya now lol

  • do you have to get all that or what.?

cant i just get a flowmaster nd a new tip.?

  • You don't have to, but you won't get any performance gains with just a muffler and tip.

  • i have a 2006 frontier with a volant air intake system

do you recommend the flowmaster?, where did you got it? and how much was it?

  • I definetly reccomend the system I have right now! Great tone, good low end. Got it done at a custom exhaust shop for $600.

  • this is yours dude? sounds tight, how much was it? what were the results

  • Loud and proud, this is definetly mine! Better low end power (a must after doing my intake) and a couple mpg were my improvements for $600. I know of some people who have done the same system for as little as $400 though. The sound actually got a little better a couple months after this vid was shot as it takes time for the system to "break in."

  • hey i have a 05 pathfinder its the same engine as the frontier check it out all i did was change the muffler and added 3 inch pipes from the muffler to the tip.... and a K&N intake sounds sick check it out

  • wat if i just want d muff( d box )

    everything else stock piping?

    would that be cheaper?

    or sound d same?

    as this vid?

  • Just a muffler replacement would be much cheaper, but you won't get the performance gains or quite as aggressive of a sound as a full custom exhaust system. Your exhaust will sound similar to this vid, just not quite as aggressive if you only do the muffler replacement

  • thanks

  • so wit ur exhaust

    feel any increase in power???

  • nice man

is it cheaper for puting it together like thats than puting one on both sides

  • It will be a little cheaper, but the main reason why I did both out one side was because of clearance issues between my spare tire and my brake lines. It's possible to run one out each side, but I didn't want any future problems so I just ran them both out the passenger side.

  • oh 4 real

    wat future problems

  • Well in case I ever decide to do anything with the suspension (i.e lift), or bigger tires (bigger spare tire = less room), this will cause clearance issues. That, and if the exhaust were too close to the brake lines, over time the heat may cause wire fray, which is something i definetly don't want. I believe there are aftermarket extended brake lines you can buy so you can tuck the lines along the frame more, giving you room for having pipes out both sides.

  • oh ok

  • the flowmaster super 40 sounds lower and i want dual's out the back not together like that

  • They are deeper, but raspier in the higher RPM's. And I wanted the duals out both sides, but there was not enough clearance.

  • sucks

  • Haha sounds like a car. :P

  • Haha, perhaps better than your's?...

  • Perhaps not... haha.
