I saw Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in March 1981. But she was an opening act for another band. That band was XTC. A lot of people were there just for Joan Jett and I remember a few saying "who the hell is XTC and why are they getting billing over Joan Jett?". Well, XTC shut them up in a hurry with amazing music. But Joan Jett was quite an act and I'm so glad to be able to say I saw here at her height.
