The maximum spped for trucks on the Autobahn is 80km, but I got caught once doing that in miles. But all it cost me was some autographed pictures of my truck, and to take pictures of them and their Mercedes Polizei auto and them by my truck and to promise to send it to them, which I did.

The rental compnay Sixt wanted to be one of my sponsors and sponsor me a trailer for the tour, but the German bureaucrats couldn't figure out how to issue a overlength permit to an American regristered tractor pulling a German registered trailer, so I spent all summer just Bobtailing all over Germany.
