  • I dont approve shroom

  • lol dsmash, wavedash into b-air of the beast, and does the up-b just barely soon enough... beautiful

  • 0:50 - 0:55 holy....i loved that

  • lovage uses that drop down up air really effectively

  • great set between those two. but the b-air of pain was pretty much wtf

  • lol 3:08, doc's like,

roll? shit i can still take about two more jabs

  • Shroomed wanted a grab at the end so badly. That first stock: Doc's B-air is rape!

  • MONEY SHOT!

  • This match would made for some kickass commentary =(

  • all of these fox pivot jabs at the end

what is this ...smash 64 xD

  • Good stuff

  • good game

  • 0:59 dayumnnnn

  • OMG @ 3:08 thats right where i would have rolled after those jabs. Lovage is fucking smart man

  • If you're rolling at all, generally you're not making the best choices

  • you cant wd out of shield vs jabs. its not a good thing to do all the time, but it is still a useful move.

  • lol. you definitely can wd out of shield. they weren't even fast jabs, super easy to get out.

also rolling is a sign of weakness

  • you can't WD through jabs like that, not without risking getting hit (jab ->usmash = lose)... and you can take rolls however you want to take them, but rolling is a safe move and it is the right thing to do in certain situations. spamming it and falling into patterns is punishable though.

  • rolling may not be good but it certainly isnt as bad as you say. Wavedash out of shield is much more useful, but in the cases we're discussing here rolling was safer. Wavedash out of shield leaves you vunerable to the jab>usmash because you still have lag during wavedashing. In most cases, however, wd out of shield is best.

  • 1. nope, rolling is terrible, you must be a noob.

    2. wavedash out of shield leaves you vulnerable to nothing, if you got hit by a jab you timed it wrong or did it too slow.

    3. You're telling me that wavedash out of shield has lag but you're saying rolling was safer here? Please

  • Old posts, but I hate seeing bad info.

Rolling isn't always terrible. It has its purposes. CF in particular benefits more from rolling backwards than he does wding oos, most times.

WD OoS has lag, just like a regular WD has lag. That's how you beat Luigi with characters not named Marth. You camp the part of his WD that lets you hit him before he recovers from the WD.

BlueFox is right, you're wrong. Esp with Doc vs Fox. Jab>usmash can wreck you if you try to WD OoS and get caught. =/

  • Unless your character has one of the best rolls in the game. Still, for most pressure situations wd'ing out of shield gives you a better answer.

  • depends what character you are, for characters like mewtwo and c falcon rolling is very useful

  • Not really. IN fact, mewtwo's roll is godawful. Generally, rolling will put you in a worse situation than you were before, due to lag and readability. It's better to up-b/usmash/jump/wd instead.

  • i wouldn't say that was even a "smart" move on lovage's part

    more like a guess, lol

    AND HE GUESSED WRONG D:

  • good job oscar

  • It's crazy how Lovage lived from 2:41-2:45

  • And it was so funny how he died at 2:50

  • 3:16

  • I thought it was really funny how they were feeling each other out the last 40 seconds.

  • you mean choking

  • 0:48

    cue bob$ evolution theme

  • Fuck, there are so many moments in the match where I wish I was able to hear the commentary.

    Good shit, no less.

  • Very nice match. ^^
