More or less everything is classified, so we are not verry sure wich part has the most resources to bring the war to a victorious end. Everything would matter in a war of THIS enormous size. My guess is that the Eastern union would win as you said, but really... as much as we saw so many times the reality is much different then what we see. WW2 ended a long time ago and there are still too many secrets about it.

everyone saying usa will fall because of the recession need to read up on a bit of history. While capitalism is prone to economic decline it also increases rapidly - 'boom and bust' economy. china hasn't suffered as badly in th recesion because it is communist and therefore has a planned economy where the state control everything and as a result it is a lot less prone to 'bust', however the 'boom' isnt dramatic.

Of course. If China ever demanded the US repay them, the US would have no choice but to default on the loan. Either that, or inflate their currency to the level of the yuan.
